People ask why do I have to compare myself to whites? They are saying this because they see this & realize they have nearly no wealth. We shop at the same Krogers, compete for the same homes in the market, when you say invest you buy the same stocks. This is the cost in America.
Far too many #ados picked up full families in America & have no $25k emergency savings, no $50k college savings for each child, no $1 mill in retirement saved, no life insurance. And fight about comparing w/ whites as a way to avoid how they ATE BIG LIVES and the bill is now due.
Isn’t VP @kamalaharris in charge of the Mexican border for the Biden administration and thus leading the talks to give these immigrant families this wealth? Didn’t she say NO to focusing on reparations to #ados?
That’s why you do down ballot Democrat so when all of this happens it is made clear you did not get what your vote was exchanged for during the election. 🤷🏿♂️ People literally sabotaged Black politics bc #ados said this all would happen…
You don’t move off the position until the promises are unwavering and written in stone to the point that they can be. Then when they aren’t met you bring your commitments out and make nonviolent political consequences for their not being met. Here people undermined that process.
It’s exceedingly clear many black folk have no idea what happens locally with funding or how poor blacks rely on government for survival. Locally the alternative to the Democrat would slash all aid & support. The key is to take hold of the party we built not play toy soldier.
This is ignorance. It’s basically erasure and a dismissive view of our lineage. This is like saying there should be no Nigerian or Igbo boundaries because Africa is one country. “ADOS and the Future of Black Humanity” Also he’s against U.S. reparations. thenewsnigeria.com.ng/2020/06/19/ado…
This image admits that in Africa the identification model in the above article was wrong.
“In Kenya, racism was a concept that existed only in books and never in conversation. Tribalism is what we lived with daily. Our identity was & still is ingrained in ethnicity.”
This is as ignorant as saying that none of should have first and last names. So when people come in a room and call a name we all answer at once. But he wants to do this while keeping his country.
New wealth explainer next week Black America has no idea what White America did codifying their privilege into law. By raising the exemption to $11 million today from $600k in 1997 over 15% of White America is passing massive inheritance untaxed that should be redistributed.
Even counting inflation there are still likely over 10 million of the 83 million white homes that would have paid estate tax in 1997 that don’t pay it now. This & other policies are why reparations is the endgame for #ados families. Labor taxed at 40% vs inheritance barely taxed.
Boyce Watkins struggles so much. He goes from Juneteenth reparations to quoting a bad respectability quote from Kanye of how it’s not White oppression it’s Black bad acts that are our problem. Notice he turned off them comments. LOL
He doesn’t know Kanye ain’t said much smart since “ The College Dropout” and you’re a finance PHD quoting a college dropout talking respectability nonsense on economics to get away from that Kwame Brown L you took and shift focus. ((Boyce this doesn’t line up with reparations))
Boyce Watkins scrambles and gets the state of economics all wrong
These local commissions are problematic first because they have no ability to deliver reparations on a scale needed. Secondly “Black Angelenos”? Cities like LA have Black populations that are in large share not #ados. So what is this even talking about? latimes.com/california/sto…
Even the reporting is coming out as nonsense. They left out the wealth of Africans, but listed the Color of Wealth reports & numbers on Whites and Blacks? Where do they do that when it’s a key to the story? This will end as a racism commission not reparations. It’s nonsense.
The LA Times article is wrong 🤫 read it. It says Black households not U.S. Black households with a clear mention of African families large wealth holding in LA because it doesn’t fit the story and really brings about the real discussion bringing us back to #ados.
