I asked Neural Blender for pictures of Frank Zappa by famous artists. Pablo Picasso, HR Giger, Francis Bacon, Frida Khalo.
Frank Zappa by Vincent Van Gogh, Salvador Dali, Gustav Klimt, Johannes Vermeer.
Frank Zappa by Leonardo da Vinci, Susan Ryder, Kehinde Wiley, Rembrandt
"A painted portrait of Taylor Swift by Pablo Picasso."
"A painted portrait of Taylor Swift by Leonardo Da Vinci"
Now for David Bowie painted by various artists, via NeuralBlender. Pablo Picasso, Bob Ross, Francis Bacon, Vincent van Gogh
David Bowie painted by various artists, via NeuralBlender. HR Giger, Frida Khalo, Salvador Dali, Gustav Klimt
"David Bowie painted by Johannas Vermeer"
I tried @PaulHollywood painted by Pablo Picasso in NeuralBlender
Donald Trump painted by Frida Khalo, really captures his essence.
"Alan Partridge painted by Frida Kahlo"
I managed to get a fairly realistic Alan from "Alan Partridge in the style of a North Korean propaganda poster."
I tried to see how making the text more descriptive could make the image more precise. I think this is a partial success for "Prue Leith, Paul Hollywood, Noel Fielding, and Matt Lucas eating slices of cake in a tent. The tent is large and white." I think Prue is missing.
TinTin by Jack Kirby
"Vladimir Putin painted by Gustav Klimt" gave my favourite result so far
"Vladimir Putin painted by HR Giger" gave what's probably the scariest
"Xi Jinping as Winnie the Pooh" worked better than I thought it would.
I felt so clever after my Xi Jinping as Winnie the Pooh image I decided to do "Donald Trump as a giant baby" and now regret my previous arrogance.
As a palate cleanser I tried "President Joe Biden driving a 1967 Chevrolet car, painted by Norman Rockwell." but it ended up looking like a future Dead Kennedy's album cover
Good enough that I probably can't fly to China anymore?
The next 10 tweets that have "[a famous person] painted by [a famous artist]" will get them put through Neural Blender. Here's "Donald Trump painted by Pablo Picasso"
Over the years Bellingcat has become increasingly involved with the justice and accountability community, and what's become increasingly clear is how utterly detached most of the online debate about things like chemical weapon use in Syria are from the work of that community.
In recent years there’s been a great deal of interest in the use of open source evidence in a legal setting, and we’ve worked with a range of organisations, including human rights NGOS, academic institutes, bodies like the ICC and others to examine how it can be used.
There’s really a wide range of really important work being done by all those organisations, and great progress has been made over the last few years on understanding how open source evidence can be used in a legal setting without much fanfare.
The Dutch General Intelligence and Security Service (AIVD) specifically names Bonanza Media in its 2020 annual report as one of the platforms used by the GRU to disseminate disinformation about the MH17 investigation aivd.nl/onderwerpen/ja…
Last November we wrote about how Bonanza Media founder, former Russia Today journalist Yana Yerlashova, was in frequent contact with a GRU officer by phone and email bellingcat.com/news/uk-and-eu…
Bonanza Media became a focal point for the efforts of Dutch MH17 truthers travelling to Eastern Ukraine to interview witnesses who supported their denials of Russia's involvement in Ukraine and publishing documents from the JIT.
