Transgender Day of Remembrance is recognized on Nov. 20 to memorialize those who were murdered due to anti-transgender & gender non-conforming (GNC) hate or prejudice.

Today, and everyday, we need to raise public awareness of the violence and hate crimes against trans and gender non-conforming people. This is how we build a future with all of our siblings in it.

Our lives our valued and full of love, we deserve to get to experience every year offered to us on this earth, without fear of death for being showing up fully.

In a report titled An Epidemic Of Violence, published by the @HRC, it's noted that in 2021 we have lost 47 trans and gender-nonconforming folks the highest it's been since they started tracking in 2013.

Forty-seven people lost because of the need to cling to and normalize anti-trans, and anti gender-nonconforming rhetoric. Much so like Dave Chappelle's TERF (trans exclusionary radical feminist) remarks in his latest @netflix special

He also shares this similarity with the Harry Potter series author JK Rowling.

It's not just an issue with your fave being problematic, this puts people's lives at danger.
