I can't help but notice that our media is all but ignoring defendants of color who were also acquitted yesterday while doing wall to walk coverage of white defendants. 
I call this white defendant syndrome. Hopefully defendants of color who are acquitted will one day get the media coverage that white defendants get.
It's the height of white defendant privilege that our media constantly pays attention to white acquitted defendants while cases of defendants of color who are acquitted continue to go ignored.
Maybe one day we will have an equitable media and country where defendants of color who are acquitted get the same attention in this country and by our media as white defendants get.
Just tonight I noticed how MSNBC & CNN are only covering white defendants who were acquitted, and nothing of defendants of color who were acquitted. This is institutional. This is what we are talking about, this is what must change.
