Children have smaller stomach capacities but normally grow rapidly, so they need NUTRIENT DENSE FOODS. Giving millets make children feel full, but per gram of millet has very little nutritional value. So basically a child's stomach is being filled with low nutrient dense foods.

Chromium is necessary for insulin to regulate metabolism of carbohydrates/lipids/protein. Sea foods, meat & whole grains are good sources, followed by egg, butter and tubers. Cheese is a concentrated source of Cr. Fruits and vegetables, in general, are not good sources of Cr.
Selenium content varies depending on the soil where the animal was raised or plant was grown. Organ meat and sea foods are rich sources of selenium. Mustard, and to a lesser extent garlic and broccoli accumulate Se from soil. Cereals and grains are major dietary sources of Se.

- Avoid tea/coffee/milk one hour before and after food
- Have lime juice with food and also at other times

- Cut down to stop safflower/sunflower/bran oil etc. Use olive oil only for salads, not in high flame/high temperature cooking. Use coconunt oil/ butter/ ghee/lard for cooking.
