Vanniyar Sangam has filed the private complaint against Surya & others to prosecute them under Sections 153, 153A(1), 499, 500, 503, 504 and 505 of Indian Penal Code.

To prosecute a person under Sections 153 & 153A (1), the previous sanction of the State or 1/n Image
Central government is mandatory & the Vanniyar Sangam has not been accorded any sanction by the government.

Regarding defamation clauses 499 & 500 IPC, only the affected individual can launch defamatory proceedings. 2/n

Sources : @mkstain government decides to convey the government land encroached by SASTRA deemed University. Orders have been issued for the formation of a Committee to ‘suggest recommendations for streamlining procedures involved in “exchange of lands” 1/n

Supreme Court confirms the CBI investigation against retired IPS officer Sivanandi. In their order dated 29 September 2021, Justices AM Khanwalikar, Dinesh Maheswari and CT Ravikumar have confirmed the order of Madras HC in August 2018. 1/n
Earlier the Madras HC had set aside the closure report filed by CB CID in this case and transferred the investigation to the CBI.

Sivanandi moved the SC and obtained a stay for investigation immediately. Now the SC transferring two cases to CBI, observed that, 2/n
