i love when brits or others do bad american accents. they flatten everything out, and it is true, they just do it too much. its not "bad" but benedict cumberbatch kind of does this when he plays dr strange.

jamaicans doing american accents makes me lol. they sincerely believe we say "guy" all the time and are always talking about hamburgers (which isnt completely untrue).
the same way americans insist jamaicans are constantly saying "mon" and while jamaicans prob say "man" more than americans they dont do it as often as we hear it.
when my mom and i drove cross country my mom insisted on pronouncing it "a-lah-bahm-ah" and i kept trying to get her to flatten it like an american to "a-ley-bam-uh." it didnt take.
every jamaican ive spoken to doing an american accent always ends up saying "hey guy, wannah get a ham-berger?" its like the quintessential american sentence for a jamaican.
im fascinated with accents in part because of my own weird accent. i dont sound "black" and i dont sound very regional either. i def sound american but its almost like "generic white american." (at least thats how it feels to me)
