1 yr follow up of mild Covid cases
๐Ÿ“ŒThe mean age of the study population was 51.6 ยฑ 10.8 years.
๐Ÿ“Œ120 patients, 104 (86.7%) were cases of non-severe COVID-19.

Joint pain, reduced pulmonary function, CT Scan abnormality, fatigue, sleep disturbance
๐Ÿ“ŒPulmonary diffusion impairment was reported in 30 (26.1%) out of 115 patients, and 24 (24.2%) out of the 99 non-severe cases.
The values of forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in 1 s (FEV1), FVC/FEV1, vital capacity (VC), total lung capacity (TLC), and residual volume (RV) were less than the normal range in 1.7, 8.6, 0.9, 11.2, 7.0, and 0.9% of the patients, respectively.
๐Ÿ“ŒA total of 55 (56.7%) out of the 97 patients showed abnormal CT findings, including ground-glass opacities (GGO), bronchiectasis, nodules, lines and bands, and fibrosis.
๐Ÿ“ŒA total of 55 (56.7%) out of the 97 patients showed abnormal CT findings, including ground-glass opacities (GGO), bronchiectasis, nodules, lines and bands, and fibrosis.
Furthermore, there was a correlation between all the SF-36-domain scores and the duration of hospitalization, pulmonary function, and a 6MWT.
๐Ÿ“Œ18.3% of the patients showed negative results in the IgG test at the follow-up, which correlated with the severity of the infection (R = 0.203, p = 0.026)
The prop of IgG negative cases in non-severe COVID-19 patients was higher than that in the severe cases (20.2 vs. 6.3%).
๐Ÿ“ŒA total of 50 (41.7%) and 45 (37.5%) patients reported anxiety and depression, respectively.

My experience of living with long neuro-COVID

This newly qualified young doctor contracted Covid at work at the end of last year.

She is still suffering badly.
Early on she experienced tachycardic, at 140 beats per minute (bpm), and breathless, with a respiratory rate of 20โ€“24 at rest.

โ€œMy heart rate would increase further, to 170 bpm, on standing and with minimal exertion, such as getting a drink or using the bathroom.โ€
โ€œI began having cyclic attacks of pins and needles in all four limbs and violent entire-body shaking. The shaking was as violent as seizure, but it wasnโ€™t one because I was conscious.โ€

Another one for your committee

Nadine Dorries thought it was OK for a serving MP to say (and on public Twitter) โ€œAre you just a misogynist with a small dickโ€

And see the preceding tweets.
Oh my Lord. H/t @MarinaPurkiss for even more gross gross GROSS tweets from Nadine Dorries @MrJohnNicolson

โ€œI will nail your balls to the floor using my own front teethโ€

Makes we wonder about the constituents who voted her in.
And for this one.

Now what could it be about the delightful Reginald D Hunter talking to her (overpaid on taxpayer money) daughter that would result in Dorries using a hash #wheresmyshotgunman

Stats authority death certificate deaths to 12 November 2021

U.K. wide: 1193 Covid deaths (up about 8% on last week)

๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ and ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ท๓ ฌ๓ ณ๓ ฟ alone 1020 Covid deaths

Deaths by date of death reached 169, 797. I think we can safely say we have now crossed the 170k Covid death barrier.
Clear trend of Excess deaths on the way up again and, when adjusted for CMI, the bulk are due to Covid.
And something weird is going on with LFT, processing delays on PCR confirmation and removals of LFT positives. Again.

Quite apart from the comments to which @MrJohnNicolson refers being libellous they breach the codes of conduct for MPs and pulls the House and politics into disrepute.

But does put her up there with Johnsonโ€™s intemperate comments.
And she didnโ€™t stop at that.

This is the not very believable Nadine Dorries.

Lord Chadlington presided over Cameronโ€™s Witney Tory Constituency Party, helped him get elected, and donated ยฃ100k to the Tories over 20 years.

Then recommended one of his subsidiary companies to get a ยฃ50 mill PPE contract despite red flags re insolvency risk.
He is director of a company called Sumner Group Holdings, which has interests in a wide range of businesses, including Peruvian and Brazilian gold mines. His stake in the company is said to be worth about ยฃ5 million.
โ€œOne of its subsidiaries, a nursing recruitment agency called SG Recruitment UK, was awarded two PPE contracts of ยฃ23.9 million and ยฃ26.1 million last year, despite auditors having expressed concerns about the firmโ€™s solvency.โ€

It is feared that incorrect Covid test results have been sent out to the public from the lab, run by the diagnostics firm Immensa, with staff allegedly forced to operate faulty machines without proper protective equipment, risking cross-contamination & spoiled samples
One whistleblower said the tips were incompatible with the machine and kept falling into the wells where the Covid sample solution was held. โ€œI had to put my hand into the machine to retrieve the tips. This was the only option but it increased the risk of contamination,โ€ ๐Ÿ˜ฑ
New recruits at the lab, located in Loughborough, were never given formal training and Covid sample waste was not disposed of correctly, whistleblowers have told The Independent.
