the far reaching impact of Covid and related restrictions will be felt well beyond 2022 by industry, students and social work schools alike. Exhaustion of staff, students and clients, reduction in programs and capacity to supervise students, social distance requirements 2/
will not magically disappear by January 2022. Most #socialwork schools already planned placements for 2022, it's a massive job and can't be done on a whim. Nothing will be like it was before #COVID19 3/
The sector as changed, policy is changing, people have changed. To think we can/should just go back to business as usual or normal eg pre Covid-1. fails to recognise the actually challenges of the situation 4/
#socialwork practice & Field Education has changed for good which can't b ignored. Students already experience significant barriers, social workers programs work super hard in a competitive environment ... don't make it harder! 5/
