The BIG Week 11 recap thread

1-2 observations for EVERY team from Week 11

Advanced stats, actionable info, etc.

Let's start with ARI:

Rondale Moore's role is basically that of a pass-catching RB

In Week 11, he played 33 snaps, ran 21 routes, and was targeted on OVER half of
them (!) 11 tgt, 11-51-0 on those 21 routes

Totaled 18 air yards, for an aDOT of 1.64 🥶

Very unique usage, and assuming Hopkins comes back after their Week 12 bye, unlikely he sees this volume again. Bench stash, maybe

Conversely, Zach Ertz is having a surprisingly great ⬇️⬇️
season.

After 9 tgts, and 8-88-2 in Week 11, Ertz' full season numbers are reminiscent of pre-2020

In 2021, his 2.16 yards per route run is 7th at the TE position, and he's averaging 13.5 fantasy points per game in 5 games with ARI.

Let's move on to ATL ⬇️⬇️
ATL RB room in Week 11

Qadree Ollison - 21 snaps, 9 carries, 9 routes, 3 tgt, 1 RZ opportunity
Mike Davis - 19 snaps, 3 carries, 15 routes, 4 tgt
Wayne Gallman - 1 snap, 1 carry

Ollison didn't practice today, but it was NOT injury related

With how he was involved in both the
run and pass game, I'd start him as a flex vs JAX

JAX run D is strong, but Ollison's 9 routes are promising, along with getting the only RB red zone touch in Week 11

On to BAL ⬇️⬇️
No Lamar, no Marquise Brown

Not too much to takeaway from this game, but let's talk about Rashod Bateman

ANOTHER 6 target game in Week 11 for him (29 routes)

6+ targets in EVERY game for Bateman, something Ja'Marr Chase, Devonta Smith, and Jaylen Waddle CANNOT claim

⬇️⬇️⬇️
BUF:

Last week, I said I wanted to see if Matt Breida could command more snaps

In Week 11, challenge accepted

Breida - 16 snaps, 5 carries, 9 routes, 2 tgt, 67 total yards, 1 RZ opportunity
Singletary - 20 snaps, 3 carries, 16 routes, 4 tgt, 43 total yards
Moss - ⬇️⬇️
Moss - 17 snaps, 3 carries, 10 routes, 1 tgt, 5 total yards

One of my FAVORITE player props for Week 12 is Zack Moss UNDERS, I've seen his rush yards mid-20s, and I'd take the UNDER against a stout Saints run D on Thanksgiving when he looks like the clear RB3 right now in BUF
⬇️
CAR receivers of note

DJ Moore - 25 routes, 7 tgt, 5-50-1 (60 air yards), 16 PPR
CMC - 21 routes, 8 tgt, 7-60-1 (37 air), 24.9 PPR
Robby - 24 routes, 6 tgt, 5-30-0, 8 PPR
Zylstra - 14 routes, 2 tgt, 1-7-0, 1.7 PPR
Marshall - 7 routes, 1 tgt, 0-0-0

Marshall is droppable

⬇️⬇️
even in deep redraft leagues

Also, I'd drop Robby Anderson too in most leagues

His yards per route run is 0.76 (105th among WRs)

He's the clear #3 receiving option in a bad pass attack behind CMC/DJM

Spare yourself and cut bait

Again, if you're enjoying this thread, a

Now, let's dive into CHI ⬇️⬇️
CHI receivers Week 11

Mooney - 32 routes, 16 tgt, 5-121-1 (219 air), 20.4 PPR
Goodwin - 27 routes, 8 tgt, 4-104-1 (118 air), 23.1 PPR
Kmet - 23 routes, 2 tgt, 1-12-0 (18 air)
Damiere Byrd - 21 routes, 2 tgt, 1-3-0 (39 air)
Montgomery - 18 routes, 1 tgt, 1-9-0 (9 air)

Here's ⬇️
my Darnell Mooney Week 12 projection (fire him up on Thanksgiving in ALL lineups)

8.2 tgt, 5 rec, 70.3 recYds, 0.37 TD, 14.3 PPR (my WR23 for the week)

I know it's Andy Dalton and the Bears, but they face DET's porous secondary, and Mooney had a 48.5% tgt share Week 11 (!)
⬇️⬇️
Ja'Marr Chase will have another big game soon with his current usage, don't worry

In Week 11, Joe Burrow had 218 total air yards, and 129 of them (59.2%) went to Chase

Despite 6 tgt and only 3-32-1 receiving, Chase (30 routes) was more active on the field than Higgins (28
routes) and Boyd (26 routes)

Also, Chase went in pre-snap motion 1 time in Week 11, and he took a handoff for a 2 yard loss

This was his 5th time in motion all year, and the others were:

Week 1: Chase rush to the right, gain of 2
Week 2: Mixon rush right for 2 yards
Week 6: ⬇️
Week 6: Pass left to Mixon, gain of 4
Week 9: Pass right to Chase, gain of 6

Compare those 5 times in pre-snap motion for Chase to Cooper Kupp (18 times in 2021) and Stefon Diggs (15 times)

We think of BUF and LAR as 2 of the more creative NFL offenses, and CIN has been ⬇️⬇️
really up and down week to week with their pass volume and overall offensive success.

@rotounderworld game charters have been capturing many new data points in 2021, and pre-snap motion is one of them.

If you want to be able to see the raw data I use for my analysis, check out
Data Analysis Plus (playerprofiler.com/data-analysis-…)

Current dataset is 29,418 rows and 142 columns, and is expanded after each week

Pre-snap motion, RB/WR/TE alignment, defensive coverage, WR/CB matchups, yards blocked, yards to 1st contact, etc

If you want to step up your analysis,
this is a great purchase to make (and we'll be adding much of this data at the season-long level to the free PlayerProfiler.com pages in the near future 👀

Now, on to CLE ⬇️⬇️
No more OBJ, Peoples-Jones still injured

This is an all-time gross receiving room for fantasy football

Landry - 22 routes, 8 tgt, 4-26-0
Higgins - 24 routes, 5 tgt, 1-17-0
Ja'Marcus Bradley - 21 routes, 2 tgt, 2-46-0
Hooper - 16 routes, 7 tgt, 4-53-0
Njoku - 16 routes ⬇️⬇️
Njoku - 16 routes, 4 tgt, 2-20-0
Harrison Bryant - 12 routes, 0 tgt

Despite playing behind an elite OLine, Baker ranks 33rd in the NFL in accuracy rating (our game charters rate EVERY throw numerically based on accuracy), and his injured WR crew surely isn't
helping matters.

Baker's fantasy points finishes by week are brutal, too.

QB27, QB18, QB18, QB31, QB8, QB21, QB29, QB11, QB28, QB21

He's a non-factor for DFS, with no more than 33 pass attempts or 2 total touchdowns in any 2021 game

On to DAL ⬇️⬇️
Zeke's knee injury is clearly hampering his efficiency, but his usage is still elite

Week 11

Zeke - 44 snaps, 9 carries, 29 routes, 6 tgt, 2 RZ opps
Pollard - 21 s, 7 carr, 6 routes, 2 tgt, 1 RZ opp

Tomorrow though, I'm taking his rushYds UNDER
⬇️⬇️
DEN had a Week 11 bye, so no new info on their team, but I do think the Sutton v Tim Patrick comparison is worrisome for Sutton

2021 full season

Sutton: 20.4% tgt share, 617 recYds, 118.7 PPR
Patrick: 16.1% tgt share, 523 recYds, 113.3 PPR

On to DET ⬇️⬇️
Even with Jamaal Williams' return, Swift was still a bell cow

DET RBs in Week 11

Swift - 34 snaps, 14-136-1 ground, 19 routes, 4 tgt, 3-0-0 receiving
Williams - 12 snaps, 7-11-0 ground, 3 routes, 0 tgt
Igwebuike - 1 snap, 1 tgt, -4 recYds

Swift faces ATL and SEA in the fantasy
playoffs (Weeks 16/17), if your trade deadline hasn't passed yet, I'd buy high. League-winner with his new role and 2 solid matchups in the playoffs

Let's turn to GB now ⬇️⬇️
If Marquez Valdes-Scantling is on waivers still, scoop him

GB WRs Week 11

Adams - 31 routes, 8 tgt, 7-115-2 (84 air yards)
MVS - 30 routes, 10 tgt, 4-123-1 (154 air)
Cobb - 29 routes, 2 tgt, 1-15-0 (10 air)
St. Brown - 9 routes, 2 tgt, 2-43-0 (7 air)

Peep his 4.3 speed ⬇️⬇️
Weird game script for HOU vs TEN

Lindsay was just waived, and Burkhead/Johnson are potentially flex options going forward

In Week 11

Burkhead - 18 carries (3 RZ), 0 routes
Johnson - 13 carries (3 RZ), 12 routes, 4 tgt (1 RZ)

I'd prefer David Johnson for his all-purpose ⬇️⬇️
role, though we have also seen Burkhead utilized as a receiver this year too

Okay. You waited long enough, let's break down that Jonathan Taylor 5 TD game 🔥

⬇️⬇️
That Jonathan Taylor 5 TD game deserves some advanced stats for context:

32 carries for 185 rush yards on the ground

85 yards blocked, 13 evaded tackles, 100 (!) yards created

Also, ANOTHER week of JT as the primary pass-catching back (13 routes to Hines' 4)

If you haven't
already, I'd drop Nyheim Hines in redraft

Thanks for following along, roughly halfway through

If you enjoy this type of free analysis, please retweet this thread, it's very much appreciated and helps me keep these notes un-paywalled

Alright, on to JAX ⬇️⬇️
The hard truths about Trevor Lawrence's rookie season

- 356 pass attempts (#9)
- 83.2% protection rate (#12)
- 19 money throws (#10), yet 27 danger plays (#4)
- 31 interceptable passes (#1)
- 6.9 throw accuracy rating (#34)
- 13.4 fantasy ppg (QB28)

*gulp*
There's more ⬇️⬇️
- 69.7% catchable pass rate (#33)
- 61.7% play action completion rate (#21)
- 48.3% red zone completion rate (#27)
- 36.1% deep ball completion rate (#21)
- 29.4% pressured completion rate (#34)

All these stats are FREE to view on his PlayerProfiler.com page

On to KC ⬇️⬇️
Byron Pringle is a decent speculative add in deep leagues, and don't drop Darrel Williams

Week 11 Routes Run

Hill - 35
Kelce - 34
Pringle - 24
Williams - 23
Robinson - 20
Gordon - 16
CEH - 14
Hardman - 8

2nd week in a row Hardman is behind those WRs in routes 🥶

Also, despite
the supposed pass-catching role being obviously CEH's when he was drafted, this comparison is alarming

2021 season

CEH - 6 games, 5.6% tgt share, 12 tgts, 10 rec, game-high 3 tgt
Williams - 11 games, 9.2% tgt share, 40 tgts, 32 rec, game-high 9 tgt, 6 games ABOVE 3 tgts

⬇️⬇️⬇️
Ekeler is dominating LAC RB touches

Week 11

Ekeler - 52 snaps, 11 carries, 30 rotues, 7 tgt, 6 RZ opps
Rountree - 13 snaps, 2 carries, 3 routes
Jackson - 3 snaps, 1 carry, 1 route, 1 tgt

On the season, Ekeler's #7 in snap share, #4 in weighted opportunities, # 3 in target, and
#2 among ALL RBs with 40 (!!!) RZ touches

If Ekeler's won you some fantasy matchups this year with his 6 Top-8 weekly RB finishes, consider checking out his charity (@AE30Foundation)

We partnered with them this year: playerprofiler.com/austin-ekeler-…

While LAR had a Week 11 bye,
I'll be very curious to see OBJ now that he's integrated into this offense.

10 routes, 3 tgts in Week 10 with LAR

If he runs 30 routes in Week 12 (Kupp avg's 34.3 per game), then OBJ "would" have 9 targets

Obviously a tiny sample, but clear that McVay/Stafford wanted to get
the ball into OBJ's hands whenever possible

I'm expecting him to out-target Van Jefferson in Week 12

In Week 10, OBJ ran 9 routes out wide, and 1 in the slot

He faced man coverage on 3 of 9 routes out wide

His 1 slot route, he was put in motion

Can you tell that I'm
enjoying all the data the @rotounderworld game charters collect each week?!

Shoutout @CarpentierNFL who coordinates all of this behind the scenes

Okay, let's turn to the Raiders now ⬇️⬇️
Darren Waller is my TE2 rest of season behind Kelce

In 3 games without Ruggs...

Week 9 - 39 routes, 11 tgt (3 RZ), 7-92-0 (114 air)
Week 10 - 29 routes, 7 tgt, 4-24-0 (47 air)
Week 11 - 26 routes, 8 tgt (1 RZ), 7-116-0 (66 air)

DAL has struggled against TEs this year, trade
for him if you can before he goes BOOM on national TV tomorrow

If I had Andrews, I would happily offer him to acquire Waller straight up, and I know many Waller managers would make that deal

Waller is the TE4 in ppg despite only 2 TDs (13 RZ targets though, usage is there)
⬇️⬇️
I feel like I've been shouting into the void with Myles Gaskin

He's a bell cow

Week 11

Gaskin - 51 snaps, 23 carries, 13 routes, 4 tgt, 9 (!!!!!!!) RZ opportunities, 18.6 PPR
All other MIA RBs - 15 snaps, 5 carries, 4 routes, 1 tgt, 2 RZ opps

On to MIN ⬇️⬇️
Dalvin Cook is going to have a week very soon where he's the overall RB1 that week

Week 9 - 17 carries (7 RZ), 14 routes, 3 tgt, 122 total yards, 0 TD
Week 10 - 24 carries (11 RZ), 26 routes, 5 tgt, 118 total yards, 1 TD
Week 11 - 22 carries (6 RZ), 21 routes, 4 tgt, 115 total
yards, 1 TD

He has 24 carries in the red zone the last 3 weeks yet only 2 TDs

Goal line carries are random, and with his usage, I fully expect the multi-TD game(s) to happen soon (my RB4 ROS)

Reminder to click that floating camera icon to the right of each player page on
PlayerProfiler.com to download an ultra high-res screenshot like the ones pictured in this thread

Turning to NE, the RB room is a mess for fantasy value

Stats below ⬇️⬇️
Week 11 vs ATL

Harris - 25 snaps, 10 carries, 9 routes, 1 tgt, 0 RZ opps, 7.5 PPR
Rhamondre - 16 snaps, 12 carries, 2 routes, 1 tgt, 1 RZ opp, 8.5 PPR
Bolden - 16 snaps, 1 carry, 14 routes, 2 tgt, 3.6 PPR

Yet another Belichick RB committee...

On to the Saints ⬇️⬇️
Whoever the starting RB is for the Saints tomorrow, start them

Kamara OUT, Ingram highly questionable

If Ingram is OUT, fire up Tony Jones

In 2 games without Kamara, Ingram has had elite usage

Week 10: 14 carries (4 RZ), 24 routes, 7 tgt, 20.8 PPR
W11: 16 carries (3 RZ),
28 routes, 8 tgt, 15.3 PPR

I'd expect Tony Jones to get similar treatment tomorrow

Remember, Ingram was a BAL cast-off in a HOU timeshare with Burkhead/Lindsay/Johnson before the Saints traded for him

On to NYG ⬇️⬇️
If you haven't yet, drop Golladay

NYG Week 11

Engram - 34 routes, 5 tgt, 3.2 PPR
Golladay - 32 routes, 2 tgt, 2.2 PPR
Slayton - 28 routes, 7 tgt, 5.7 PPR
Toney - 26 routes, 12 tgt, 11 PPR

But wait, there's more *gulp* ⬇️⬇️
In 2021, Golladay is averaging fewer yards per game than Deonte Harris, Kendrick Bourne, and Sammy Watkins...

And, Golladay is averaging fewer fantasy points per game than Kalif Raymond, Jamal Agnew, and Cedrick Wilson

And that's with Golladay rarely competing with other fully
healthy NYG WRs

Turning to NYJ, Elijah Moore has been a MONSTER

If your league mate is worried about Zach Wilson returning, be a friend and "take Elijah Moore off his/her hands"

Stats below ⬇️
Even with Corey Davis and Jamison Crowder healthy the past 2 weeks, Moore has still avg'd 30 routes and 8.5 tgts

Only 12 WRs have had 2+ games in 2021 with 27+ PPR pts

That list is ⬇️⬇️
Kupp/Hill - 4
Adams/Deebo - 3
AJB, Thielen, Lamb, Chase, Evans, Mike Williams, McLaurin, ELIJAH MOORE - 2

And Moore has definitely had the most inferior QB play among that group

On to PHI ⬇️⬇️
Week 11 PHI RB room

Sanders - 33 snaps, 16 carries, 6 routes, 1 tgt, 2 RZ opps
Scott - 28 snaps, 6 carries, 13 routes, 2 tgt, 1 RZ opp
Howard - 12 snaps, 10 carries, 1 route, 0 RZ opps

I wouldn't drop Sanders, but ceding the receiving work to Scott was concerning

PIT ⬇️⬇️
Eric Ebron is likely out the rest of 2021

This greatly helps Freiermuth, who has split passing work with Ebron

Week 11 routes

Diontae - 39
Claypool - 38
Washington - 33
Najee - 20
Freiermuth - 18
Ebron - 17

Freiermuth has been targeted on 25.8% of routes this year, #7 at the
TE position

He's avg'd 19 routes/game this year, and a bump to 25-30 routes per game likely gives him 1-3 more targets per game

He's also #2 among TEs with 14 RZ targets on the season, and #3 with 5 TDs

He's a must-start TE going forward

⬇️⬇️

Rant over, on to SEA⬇️
Another disappointing performance by the SEA offense

The RB room is interesting though, and DeeJay Dallas is a solid bench stash

Week 11
Collins - 18 snaps, 10 carries, 3 routes, 1 RZ opp
Dallas - 18 snaps, 4 carries, 11 routes, 2 tgts, 3 RZ opps
Homer - 5 snaps, 1 carry,
2 routes

Dallas getting 3 RZ looks out of 4 total RZ looks for SEA RBs is promising

He also had as many snaps as Alex Collins

Last year in his lone start Week 8, DeeJay had a 77.6% snap share, 18 carries (8 RZ), 21 routes, 5 tgts, 2 TDs, and 22.8 PPR (RB3 on the week)

Stash
him in redraft, even in shallower leagues

If/when SEA is eliminated from the playoffs, the 3-7 Seahawks may turn to him even more to see what their RB future is, as Carson's neck injury-plagued 2021 doesn't bode well for his 2022 season

On to SF ⬇️
If Elijah Mitchell is OUT again, fire up Jeff Wilson

Week 11
Wilson - 38 snaps, 19 carries, 7 routes, 2 tgt, 5 RZ opps
Sermon - 22 snaps, 10 carries, 7 routes, 1 tgt, 0 RZ opps
Deebo - 8 carries for 79 yards

Also, Aiyuk is a locked/loaded WR2 going forward

Stats below⬇️⬇️
The past 4 weeks, Aiyuk has had 7+ targets in 3 of those games, a RZ target in 3 of those games, and has 2 top 10 weekly WR finishes

He's also had a roughly 90% snap share the past month, after hovering between 50-70% the first 2 months of the season

⬇️⬇️
You want Rob Gronkowski on your fantasy team for the stretch run

He was fully back in Week 11

Brady was out there for 65 snaps & 46 pass attempts

Gronk ran 23 routes (Godwin/Evans ran 36 for context)

Gronk had 8 tgt, 6-71-0 (62 air yards)

We know he'll get more RZ opps than
every TE (outside of maybe Kelce), so if he can have a 17% tgt share in Week 11 and run routes downfield, that's icing on the cake

Gronk is my TE4 rest of season behind Kelce/Waller/Andrews

Yet FantasyPros has him TE13 ROS 😬

Go and trade for him if your league mate uses
FantasyPros' ROS rankings and believes Dawson Knox is more valuable than Gronk ROS

On to the Titans

There's too much in flux to take a lot away from Week 11's loss against HOU

McNichols was OUT, Hilliard filled in admirably with 7 caries and 10 targets

AJB and Marcus Johnson
left that game early due to injury too.

Johnson is done for the year

I'd target Nick Westbrook-Ikhine for Week 12 onward, who ran 37 routes, and had 8 tgt, going 7-107-0

Though he did run fewer routes than both Chester Rogers (45) and Dez Fitzpatrick (44)

I can more
confidently advise you to drop Ryan Tannehill in 1 QB leagues, who I have at QB18 rest of season

With no Derrick Henry and a severely banged up WR core without Julio Jones and quite possibly without AJ Brown in Week 12, there's no need to keep him on your roster outside of
superflex leagues.

The final team, WAS...

Thanks again for reading along, please like/RT if you've enjoyed this thread, and I'll be putting it out every week on either Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon/night

The WAS RB room usage continues to signal Gibson is NOT
going to take over this backfield this year

Week 11

Gibson - 30 snaps, 19 carries (4 RZ), 4 routes, 0 tgt
McKissic - 32 snaps, 7 carries, 13 routes, 2 tgt
Patterson - 13 snaps, 7 carries, 2 routes, 2 RZ opps

Being a grinder back on a bad offense is not the formula for
any type of elite fantasy production

It's been a very disappointing fantasy season for Gibson, who is the RB25 per game in 2021 🥶

However, I do not believe Gibson was a bad process pick in fantasy drafts

He was in a similar enough situation to Jonathan Taylor, who is the
overall RB1 in fantasy football.

Taylor had Hines, Gibson had McKissic

Both RBs were going into year 2, with potential to increase their pass game workload, though their teammates were both elite pass catching backs

Taylor has become a bell cow in year 2, Gibson has not, but I
believe that Gibson having that potential overall RB1 ceiling is why he was a great pick in round 2 of fantasy drafts

I would say Javonte Williams likely will fit that mold in 2022 fantasy drafts.

All-purpose skill set, committee in year 1, likely round 2 pick in fantasy next
year because we know he's capable of being a bell cow.

The type of difference-maker that CAN finish overall RB1 on the season

That's all for tonight, folks

Thanks for following along and enjoy Thanksgiving tomorrow.

Personally, I'm incredibly thankful for all of your
support.

It's a grind during the season with incredibly long hours, and the inquisitive comments, thoughtful DMs, player debates, and overall unpredictability of the 2021 NFL season have kept it all very interesting

BIG WEEK 9 RECAP THREAD

Below, find 1-2 observations for each team from Week 9 as I work on Week 10 projections

Let's start with Arizona

Chase Edmonds went down early, and James Conner was an absolute BELL COW

Conner- 52 snaps, 21 carries, 15 routes, 5 targets (cont.)

⬇️⬇️⬇️
for a 19% tgt share, and 5 RZ opportunities

Eno Benjamin played 17 snaps, had 9 carries, and ran 2 routes with no targets

Eno is a priority pickup due to his all-purpose skillset and Conner's lengthy injury history

Edmonds out most, if not all, of the FF season

On to ATL ⬇️⬇️
ATL routes (targets) breakdown:

Russell Gage - 26 (8)
Tajae Sharpe - 26 (1)
Kyle Pitts - 23 (7)
Cordarrelle Patterson - 20 (6)
Olamide Zaccheaus - 16 (3)
Hayden Hurst - 11 (3)
Mike Davis - 9 (2)

It's unlikely Tajae Sharpe is the routes run leader again after this showing...⬇️⬇️
