Upcoming fixture ease
▪️LEICESTER
They haven’t won in the last 3 games but have a good run of fixtures to get back on track and I think they will. They have some excellent attackers that could get some big points during this period.
▪️SPURS
Conte has got his first win for Tottenham. Although they weren’t amazing the previous GW, I do expect them to improve over the coming weeks and the upcoming fixtures are all winnable games.
▪️CRYSTAL PALACE
Their progress has been impressive under the management of Vieira - a strong team with some excellent attacking options too.
Squad Advice
With the congested run of fixtures from now until the new year, it’s really important to get the right squad balance. Here are my key principles that I will aim to follow:
…….
1. Have a playing bench in case of unforeseen rotations 2. Save transfers where possible to allow more flexibility 3. Make transfers closer to deadline (more injuries/rising COVID cases in winter) 4. Avoid ‘rage’ transfers when things aren’t going well
Players to target
▪️Defenders
Alonso (CHE) [5.6]:
- With the unfortunate injury to Chilwell, Alonso will slot straight back into the LWB position
- Would be the perfect double up with James
- Extremely attacking and will benefit from the way Chelsea play
- Only 7.6% owned
▪️Midfielders
Mane (LIV) [12.0]:
- A key player for Liverpool in their electric front 3
- The 2nd highest scoring midfielder
- 7 goals & 2 assists this season
- His Xp (76) is higher than his actual points (71), suggests more returns to come
- Only 4.6% owned
Jota (LIV) [7.5]:
- Will continue to play in the front 3 due to Firminos injury
- Scored last GW and had the potential to have scored more
- 5 goals & 1 assist this season
- Xp (60.1) in contrast to his actual points of 54 shows he’s been underperforming
- Only 14% owned
▪️Striker
Allan Saint-Maximin (NEW) [6.8]:
- Playing under a new attacking manager
- Was such a threat in his last game
- 3 goals and 4 assists already this season
- The third highest scoring striker in the league (55 points)
- Only 16.4% owned
Captaincy
This week my captain will be Mo Salah again. Although he hasn’t had the huge hauls we got used to over the last few GWs, he is still returning and will be captained by the masses again this GW.
Preview of my Team
I have a strong team going into this GW, so I will bank my transfer. The saved transfer will help me weigh up my options before the next flurry of games. This plan will only change if an injury arises.

Since I can remember, I have always wildcarded early, I have several reasons for this, to name a few:
- Gives me a few weeks to analyse teams/players
- Have players from teams that have an easier fixture schedule to start with.....
- Allows me to start strong
- Gains momentum
- Can take short term punts where necessary
- Can jump on new signings if they start well namely (Sancho, Kane, Lukaku)
