It was the same for most of us.
I know it was for me. And I am not ashamed to admit it - cause over the years I unlearned it and educated myself. I did it cause I saw for myself, not because I was mocked & bullied publicly.

Today, I teach subjects like Fashion & Design, which may seem far away from topics like caste but I include casteism any opportunity I get.
Most of my students come from privileged homes with no clue about the real deal - but they don’t get aggressive about it. And they learn.

So, please, please, if it is a young person - a teenager - please be gentle. You’re not doing anybody any favours by being a bully. Take it from an educator.
