Most work is a relic of the Industrial and Post-War Eras: one life-controlling employer, shifts from morning to evening, biased interviews, pyramids where *by design* most will remain subordinate.

We live in the Internet Era and it’s time work caught up. #DAOs fix this 🧵👇
Project/company DAOs rely on project-based work streams instead of shift work. This allows ppl to more easily work on ad-hoc projects. What matters is results, so workers have the flexibility to work on their time.
Given the flat and democratic nature of DAOs, workers are not tied to one DAO, but can work on various projects across different DAOs (if they choose).
Further, since DAOs are internet native, their coordination (including onboarding workers) happens online.

IRL interviews allow hiring decisions to be dominated by (often subconscious) biases such as gender, race, height, age, etc.
DAOs can quickly hire based on online exchanges and reputation (including even anonymous workers), mitigating the effect of bias.
Finally, DAOs have flat organizational structures. Workers are usually either DAO members or will eventually become members after being awarded DAO tokens as a reward for successful completion of the project.
Thus, all workers will eventually have, at minimum, governance rights (and potentially economic rights) over the DAO. Anyone can always do more for the DAO, allowing them to have more of a day.
Compare this to most current companies where the odds are stacked overwhelmingly against most employees ever having a meaningful say.
This is not to say that DAOs are a perfect solution for work. They’re not. Nothing’s perfect, and DAOs have their fair share of issues and uncertainty.

But importantly, DAOs finally allow us to work in the era that we live in.
