Please allow me to give my understanding & implication of this art [THREAD]
This political art was made as response to the contradicting statement of VP Leni re. NTF-ELCAC. As a result, it triggered mixed responses from those who have seen it, the good & the bad. @theskinsensei
Some interpret it as form of red-tagging and they are offended. Others use it as a way to be more critical to a Robredo presidency esp. by those who have spoken against the caravan, lugaw (feeding project), etc. @jmchos@ColmenaresPH@SirRenzSaavedra@lilyoftheveil17
We are aware that art is subjective. Different people have different interpretations. The artist himself clarified that the pink paint hasn’t arrived to the gun’s trigger yet but he has forgotten that the color, PINK, didn’t come originally from VP Leni’s camp as.. @EstelleSelfie
..the official color of the people’s campaign. It came from the volunteers. It represents them and I myself included. To associate the color with an image of a gun, representation of violence, is like implying that the volunteers support violence.. @tessgarcia@KuyaErjann
..and tolerate what NTF-ELCAC stands for. We know that is NOT TRUE. Personally, I support to #AbolishNTFELCAC because no matter what reforms will be implemented to better carry its function, the said task force has a reputation beyond redemption. @JerryGracio@cvmalaya@hotmanila
I cannot speak for VP Leni or for anyone else but I believe she will listen to us and she accepts CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISMS. Let me highlight that there is a difference between SPEAKING AGAINST SOMEONE and GIVING CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. @MaamSyj@mrsunlawyer@nicoquejano
Here are things we need to remember when giving a CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM: 1. Don’t make it personal. 2. Be specific. 3. Ensure you’re on the same page. 4. Keep it positive. 5. Make it a dialogue. wrike.com/blog/how-to-gi…
I hope we all learn from this incident and elevate the discourse by applying the mentioned steps in giving constructive criticism. Let’s all do better. We are not enemies. We all aspire for a better tomorrow for our country and our fellow Filipinos. @jeffcrisostomo@nuelleduterte
Let’s all revisit our core and ask ourselves these questions:
Why are we doing what we are doing?
How do we want to be remembered?
What would we like to see differently for our country's sake, for everyone? Visualize that. @iam_adele_@leahnavarro@PinoyAkoBlog@56audrey57
