Constable Selvaraj was Murdered today Nov 29 1997.
After the demolition of the building at Babri in 1992,no Muslim orgs spoke about it for a few years, but for in CBE,
But the All India Jihad committee of Palani Baba was spearheading the hate campaign against Hindus and in form of Wahabisim, and they secretly started a secondary unit, more radical, more covert, heavily funded namely Al-Ummah.
Together with AIJC and Al Ummah they started to take up Babri issue yearly celebrations in 1997/98, this was fiercely resisted by IMK and H.Munnani.
1999 November was a war of flexs and posters, everyday in B1 Police station both Hindu and Muslim activists were called for negotiating and getting approvals for their flexs/posters for next day.
Hindu side was represented by Arjun Sampath and Muslim side by Ansari & Badsha.
Out of blue suddenly Ansari/Badsha and gang kept flexs and posters questioning the modesty and honor of Bharath Matha, clearly to provoke Violence.
That evening in police station a huge argument broke out, which led to nowhere , both party threatened each other walked out.
Ansari and Badsha called for a meeting late that evening, there were ppl going in triples and in front of B1 Station, police stopped all ppl going triples.
Muslims on the bike became rude to police and the SI incharge hit a guy there, when he tried to snatch the key from SI.
In retaliation they had taken out a procession, Constable Selvaraj who was a Kilometer away from where the incident happened was made a scape goat.
He was murdered his heart was ripped out and placed on top of his body, in full public view, as a warning to Police.
CBE was shocked and it was as calm as before a storm.
Then the then govnt gave orders to negotiate truce btwn both the parties, and so the inspector called Ansari/Badsha to the station and who were trying to negotiate with him.
This was the last straw for the police, police all over CBE went furious, asked how can we negotiate with cop killers, and demanded his arrest, but nothing happened for 24 hre.
For the first time in Independent India Police in CBE went on a strike, demanding the arrest of Ansari and Badsha
CBE riots happened on that day, btwn Police and Muslims and History Sheeters.
Hindu orgs never participated in the riots, the causality numbers says the story.
The riots/strike went for 3 days until Rapid Action Force RAF was called in.
This has been documented by then govnt report also.
This is the history of riots in a nut shell
Commission by Justice GokulaKrishnan has documented these.
Still ppl fall for the prey of Victim hood by these extremists.
Hindu orgs had nothing to do with the Violence.

Hindutva is a word imbued with a very deep and profound sense of identity, history and culture. It is a *Mantra* word. Just because a few confused morons are uncomfortable with it, we cannot simply throw away such a powerful word that has evolved in the course of history
and acquired a certain concrete meaning over a century. And "call it Kshatriya dharma, call it Dharma Rakshana, or anything else"? With such an ambiguity and confusion about the name itself, what kind of "Rakshana" are we going to do, seriously?
You simply cannot use words like "Brahmana" "Kshatriya" etc. for the grand, unifying and integrating phenomenon that we are talking about. Not because these are "wrong" or "bad" words. These words of the past have their traditional, good meanings.
While I am all for #diwalicrackers and support the right and freedom to light and burst them without unreasonable curbs, my observation is that the craze for #crackers among youngsters and the next generation has been declining year on year and it is a steady downward trend.
In fact, the bulk of the people making big noise with crackers on the streets as well as social media are all middle-aged males Largely the 80s-90s generation, as they still live their hangover of the riotous Diwali revelry of their young days.
In the present generation, children have some curiosity and sense of adventure with crackers till about the age of 12-13, at the max 15, not beyond. And, even this, because of the company and hanging around with friends during Diwali that attracts them,
Pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's bonhomie with Pope Francis from his visit to Vatican is all over internet. PM has also invited the Pope to visit India which the latter is said to have gladly accepted.
Reminds me of a story from a previous papal visit to India, an episode involving Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda.
When Pope John Paul II visited India in February 1986, receptions were scheduled across 13 cities.
Elaborate comittees were formed and Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda was invited to inaugurate and address the Christian leaders at one of them. Gurudev was in the middle of a Gītā Jñāna Yajña (Series of public talks on the philosophy of Śrīmad Bhagavad Gītā) in Thrissur (Keraḷam)
A rumour was spread via e-mail as soon as the Godhra tragedy became a news, that a 16 year old granddaughter of a Muslim tea vendor was abused and kidnapped by the Karsevaks. This was published in TN and circulated widely,
Then there is the typical case of Jaffery MPs non-existent daughter being raped and killed by a Hindu mob (while in reality his daughters were living in luxury abroad and one right in that great Satan of Islamists- USA).
First reported by Time and later morphed into a highly emotional traumatic true story in the strong words of fiction writer Arundathi Roy, the article was translated into 11 Indian languages and were distributed often freely to the educated youths of Muslim community by LW orgs
