Mike Lindell is a grifter & an empty suit. But @rawstory itself falsely claims that if the voting machines themselves don’t connect to the internet, “the ‘hacker’ wld have to go to each electronic voting machine in each polling place in every state.” 1/ rawstory.com/thanks-a-thon-…
In fact, @rawstory’s claim is one of the original (since debunked) lies that drew me to election security advocacy in the first place, as I wrote here. 2/ jennycohn1.medium.com/why-have-so-ma…
If you want something shorter, I wrote this a few years ago. 3/ jennycohn1.medium.com/all-voting-mac…
If you’d like something in an independent publication, I wrote about it here too. Unfortunately, there’s a pay wall, so even I can’t open it right now. The bottom line: a hacker does not have to hack each voting machine. 4/nybooks.com/daily/2018/11/…
Bottom line: A hacker does not have to access individual machines. He or she could instead attack the centralized county (sometimes state computers) that are used to program each machine before each election. 5/
Swapping out the memory cards that transfer the programming could do it too. There are other ways as well. 6/
For example, where e-poll books (which connect to WiFi or Bluetooth) are used to encode the activation cards that retrieve your ballot on a touchscreen voting machine (BMD), hacking or programming error w/ the e-pollbooks could cause voters to receive the wrong ballots. 7/
The example from post 7 appears to have occurred in at least one Texas county in November. It probably happened elsewhere too. Without public records requests, these issues may not come to light. The document below is from a public records request. 8/
I am not the one who made the public records request. It was sent to me by a concerned voter who I consider credible. She sent me other documents related to this as well. These were Tenex e-pollbooks & ES&S voting machines (BMDs). 9/
You can also hack an election by hacking the voting machine companies that are often retained to provide pre-election programming to large swaths of the country. There are many points of potential failure. 10/
This is why we need rigorous manual audits for most races. The #SAFEAct would have required them for all federal races in 2020, but Rs killed it. This is one reason why the GOP’s purported outrage over election security drives me insane. 11/ axios.com/gop-senator-el…
Neither party has introduced a bill this session that would require rigorous manual election audits in 2022, which is beyond disappointing. The most recent voting rights bill wld phase them in starting w/ a single race in 2024. 12/
Which is why we shld anticipate more unverified Republican wins & more “fraudits” for Democratic wins in 2022. 13/
14/ Reminder: Democrats lost all 27 House races that were predicted to be tossups in 2020. Plus a few they were predicted to win. None went the other way. Mostly not audited meaningfully or at all.

😳More ominous news for Jews in America. Mike Flynn, who says that America should have only “one religion,” recently spoke at a John Hagee church. Hagee claimed that god himself had sent Adolf Hitler, to persecute Europe's Jews & so chase them towards the "promised land", … 1/ Image
2/ … , the only place, per Hagee, that god wanted Jews to live.
3/ I had not heard of John Hagee before. I learned this from @brucewilson.

This seems like a frightening development from the MAGA loving Florida Governor who legalized running over protestors & requiring that students & teachers register their political views. 1/ Image

@B52Malmet Mike Flynn said it: one religion (Christianity) and a very extreme version of it, meaning oppression & discrimination against people who are LGBTQ or practice a different religion. They also want to dismantle most federal agencies & federal regulations. No more DOE, EPA, SSA. 1/
@B52Malmet Immigrants are screwed. Protesters & opponents of the regime will be screwed & silenced. I imagine there will be show trials of some leading Democrats, though I’m less sure if that. 2/
@B52Malmet Definitely more book burnings & rewriting of history. Muslims will face the most discrimination, but it will bleed over to Jews as well. I worry that Jews will be pressured to go “home” to Israel (even if they are American citizens), but I’m not sure about this part. 3/

“The similarities between Gamergate & the far-right online movement…are…in no way a coincidence…Steve Bannon had a hand in creating…Milo Yiannopoulos, who built his fame & Twitter following by supporting and cheerleading Gamergate.” 12/1/16 1/ theguardian.com/technology/201…
Gamergate, as I understand it, was an online harassment campaign against women gamers. The proponents of Gamergate attacked in swarms, using death threats & doxing 2 terrorize their targets who fled their homes. This apparently provided the basis 4 the MAGA movement’s tactics. 2/
.@radicalizedpod did a fascinating episode on how the MAGA movement apparently evolved from Gamergate. You can watch here. cc: @Heidi_Cuda 3/
