Everything can change in a very short amount of time.

In 1 year we:
- Nearly 10Xd our sales at Bolt
- Launched Conscious Culture
- Wrote the Fundraising Book
- Started my dream dance nonprofit The Movement

There are no accidents.

Here’s how I changed my life:
1/ Morning Yoga

5,000 years old, this sacred practice has stood the test of time.

This year, I figured out why.

Unlocking and unblocking your body does the same to your mind.

20-30 minutes of yoga every morning,

And the rest of the day you’re playing with house money.
2/ Nightly Reading

I used to read to look cool.

I stopped that shit.

I started reading things that would make me a better person.

Self-care, mindfulness, health, spirituality.

Instead of reading cover-to-cover,

I focused on the concepts that stood out.
3/ Karmic Cleansing

I apologized to those I hurt.

I forgave those who hurt me.

I showed gratitude to those who helped me.

Anything weighing down the mind has a cost.

Free yourself from the chains.
4/ Nontoxic Food

You are what you eat.

This year I learned this lesson deeply.

Most foods in America are processed and stuffed with countless chemicals.

I sourced from local farms.

I only ate ingredients I could spell.
5/ Nontoxic Water

Plastic water bottles?

You can taste the plastic in it.

This should not be inside your body.

Ideally spring water whenever possible.
6/ Daily Dancing

This might be my best kept secret.

But, here it is....

I dance every day.

On my own, in my house, full send.

To dance your way through life, dance every day of your life.
7/ Listening to Myself

I used to listen to way too many people.

And in doing so I would kill a part of me inside.

I committed to never feel this way again.

I would still seek advice,

But I would only follow my gut for the final call.
8/ Following the Energy

I also found new mentors who would energize me.

If someone really has your best interests at heart, you’ll know.

The same applies to new teammates, partners, etc.

Stop chasing the shiny objects.

Start chasing the energy.
9/ Moving into Nature

I got out of my apartment.

I moved to a house surrounded by nature.

I spent every possible second outdoors.

Bolters can typically find me on zoom with my backyard as the backdrop.

Fresh air is king.
10/ Ending Alcohol & Caffeine

The first one is obvious.

Alcohol is poison.

The second one is less so by society’s standards.

But in my opinion, also poison.

Caffeine is tricking you to think you need it.

But it really just helps you get back to baseline.
11/ Firing Friends

This one sounds brutal.

But it’s necessary.

Anyone who’s not adding to your personal journey is not worth the time.

End unfulfilling relationships with kindness.

Life is too short.
12/ Learning thru Teaching

Conscious[.org] teaches companies how to build with humanity.

The Fundraising Book teaches founders how to raise.

The Movement teaches people how to dance.

There’s no better way to learn than to teach.
And that’s it!

If you enjoyed this give me a follow @theryanking.

I’m 27 and have started 2 unicorn tech companies.

I also run a dance nonprofit, the Conscious Culture foundation, and authored the Fundraising book.

My mission is to share my learnings every step of the way.

How the universe works part 1: literal manifestation
We are all manifestation machines

Meaning our ideas manifest and become reality

This entire planetary system was quite literally the idea of a higher being of which we stem from

We are droplets from this source, creator, or energy core
Because we all come from this core,

At our core, we all have infinite power and potential

Our origin is infinity

However, on this planet there is duality: love and fear, truth and illusion, etc

Fear based thoughts and illusions lower our vibration and thus limit our abilities

The spiritual path, a thread:
The spiritual path is not for the faint of heart.

It is both the toughest of life’s paths and the most rewarding.

All journeys are unique.

But all lead to the same place: total love and oneness.
The path requires alignment of mind, body, and spirit.

All are a part of You.

One without the other leads to imbalance.

Recognize and nurture all aspects of You.

I’ll show you how.

Soon DAOs will be plug & play.

This might be humanity’s biggest shift yet.

Here’s why it changes everything 👇
1/ Easily programmable communities

Community building used to be labor intensive and manual.

High cost, friction, resources, time spent.

Soon anyone anywhere will be able to spin one up overnight.

Just clone the code.
2/ Directly aligned financial incentives

It was near impossible to have community and aligned financial incentives in the same sentence.

There is no stronger motivating force on the planet than financial incentives.

Now it will be at the very core of community.

How to build a sales team:
To start, a note of credit to the great Jim Herbold from Box.

He was my hands-on mentor for many years. Bolt sales would not exist without him.

Much of this is learned wisdom from him.

Ok, here we go 👇
1/ Close the first deals yourself, end-to-end

It’s impossible to now how to construct a sales team without first knowing how to conduct a sale.

Some founders try to hire before this step.

Doing so is skipping a crucial step of getting intimate with your product and customers.

How I’ve focused my time and energy scaling Bolt from 1 to 400 people:
1/

The job as CEO completely changes every time the company 2X’s.

A CEO for a 5 person company is vastly different from 10 people, 20 people, and so on.

It’s important to recognize this, and lead as appropriate to your stage.
2/

Bad leaders want to make themselves irreplaceable.

Good leaders replace themselves with those more capable.

Growing as a CEO means leaning into this.

The CEO job is effectively an anti-job: to continually put oneself out of work to gain compounding leverage.
