Lucas Hernández in Kicker interview: "My first 2 years here were difficult. I was injured for 1.5 years, that was the worst time in my career. I'm happy again, I'm able to play and enjoy football. I feel comfortable at the club & the city. Bayern is one of the world's best clubs"
Lucas: "I feel good, ready and motivated, like the rest of my teammates. We're eager to write history and win trophies. The motivation within the team is huge to win as many titles as possible"
Lucas: "Since Julian Nagelsmann arrived at the club, I'm getting more game time. I love playing with my teammates. With Corona, we're not having the easiest of times, but we have got the players to make the most of the situation"
Lucas on injuries: "There are certain players that think about stopping football during injuries. For me it's quite the opposite. It makes me even more motivated to work hard and return. That time made me mentally stronger and more mature"
Lucas on whether he was always convinced that the move to Bayern was the right decision: "Yes. I think the club helped me develop both as a player and as a person"
Lucas on whether he thought about leaving Bayern: "Never, not one single time, even in the toughest moments. My goal always was to find my spot here. That's why I signed here"
Is the high transfer fee a burden for you?

Lucas: "Not at all. It was a big transfer with a lot of money, no doubt - but during that period before Corona, such transfers happened. I'm trying to pay back every single euro of the fee through my performances"
Lucas: "The club made big efforts to sign me, that shows they were fully convinced of me. But I couldn't do anything about the fee. My job is to help the team win as many titles as possible. That's why I play football"
Lucas: "I think the media see me more critically than other players due to my transfer fee. But I'm a relaxed guy, so I can deal with it. Even Lionel Messi gets criticized sometimes. Critics are part of our job"
Lucas on who he'd have voted for between Lewandowski & Benzema for the Ballon d'Or: "I think Lewandowski deserved the award. He played an incredible season and wrote history. Messi was successful with Argentina, but compared to Lewandowski, he wasn't as consistent"
Lucas on his role model: "Like most French players, my idol was Zinedine Zidane. When I was a kid, I was fan of Fernando Hierro, I was really impressed"
Lucas: "Since I was a kid, I always wanted to be a defender, whether at school or with my friends in the streets. I know it's not very normal (laughs)"
Lucas on whether he prefers a goal line clearance over scoring a goal: "Yes, definitely. Scoring goals is for attackers. For me the most important thing is to keep a clean sheet. I hate losing. Defeats stay with me even at home"
Lucas on his favourite position: "I like to play as left centre-back. That's my ideal position where I always played in my youth. With Hansi Flick I played both LB and LCB. With Nagelsmann I always play LCB. I feel most comfortable there"
Lucas on the difference between Bayern and Atlético's systems: "Bayern have significantly more possession than Atletico. I liked Atleti's style too, but here it's completely different. You have to be more precise, even in training. We stand high up the pitch, I like it here too"
Lucas on his aggressive style: "I will not change it until the end of my career. That's what my teammates expect from me"
Lucas on the difference between the Bundesliga and La Liga: "Football in Germany is more physical and intensive. That suits me. In Spain it's about technique, there's more possession and more passes. In Germany the games are end to end, you have to run more"
Lucas on whether Bayern has become more of a French team: "No, Bayern's identity remains FC Bayern. Of course it's an advantage to have many French players, but we don't only stay between us, we're open. We don't speak perfect German, but we understand everything, we are a team"
Lucas on life in Munich: "It's nice here, completely different to Madrid. I'm happy to be here. Life is calm and focus is on work, football and family. I like Munich very much."
Lucas on his recent court case: "It was a very difficult time. As you know, I visited my wife back then. When the topic came up, she was and still is pregnant with our second child. Neither my wife nor I understood why the prosecution opened a case against me"
Lucas: "I have to thank FC Bayern, they always stood by my side. The people in charge understood my situation and helped me. My lawyers also always assured me that the charges would come to nothing, that I didn't need to worry"
Lucas: "It was an incident in 2017, that is the past. The present is that my wife is pregnant, that I love her and that she loves me. In the end, the prosecution didn't lead to a conviction, but it was a difficult time for me nonetheless."
Lucas: "You see and read what people speak about you in public and what media, especially in Spain, write about you. Journalists wrote things they knew nothing about. Thank God it's all over"
Lucas on winning titles: "I still have the Euros title left to win. Generally I want to win all titles, regardless of whether I won them before. The defeat against Gladbach for example made me very angry. We still have two titles to play for. Winning both of them is the goal"
Lucas on his future (contract extension or a new challenge?): "I'm still halfway through my contract duration, there's a lot of time left. I'm not thinking about the future. Fact is that I'm happy here and thankful to the club for everything they've done for me"

Marc Roca on tomorrow's game: "We are Bayern. Although we are qualified, we are going to go out to win this game" [@diarioas] Image
Roca on the 8-2 game: "Bayern were so superior. But that's in the past, I wasn't even in Lisbon. What I can say is that the 8-2 is no longer talked about in the dressing room. It's already happened. We owe it to our fans to give everything for the win tomorrow"
Roca on his relationship with Goretzka and Kimmich: "We respect each other. Competitiveness is important, but I learn from them."

Julian Nagelsmann: "Leon Goretzka has unfortunately had to stop training again and will not be available tomorrow. Serge Gnabry suffered an adductor problem against Dortmund and will not play tomorrow either" Image
Nagelsmann: "Choupo-Moting still has a few problems, he can't train yet. Josh [Kimmich] will get tested tomorrow and will normally go out of quarantine. But it doesn't make sense to play him tomorrow. We have to look for Saturday" Image
Nagelsmann: "Lucas Hernández is doing well, but I'm not sure if he'll start tomorrow with a view to Saturday's important game against Mainz. Regarding Sabitzer he'll still take a while, he is in individual training. It's still taking time" Image

Kingsley Coman: "We still have many things to improve. We have always wanted to win since the first match. We're building more and more confidence and trying to win every game. All teams in the CL are strong, so we want to win every game" #UCL Image
Coman on his future: "Right now I want to finish this season well and give my best. Then we'll see, there are several options." Image
Coman on Barcelona: "They still have a very good team. It's always an opponent that is difficult to win against. But we're playing at home and we want to win" Image

Marc Roca: "People may think that my time here in Munich has been a failure. I don't see it that way. It was challenging, and I'm proud. I have improved a lot as a footballer and as a person. I stepped out of my comfort zone. I have grown a lot" [@elmundoes] Image
Roca: "Maybe right now I can't prove it because I'm not getting the minutes I would like to get. But I'm sure that in the future I will be able to take advantage of all this. I wish I could succeed here. But in life you never know. If it's not here, it will be somewhere else."
Roca: "There have been moments of frustration. You feel ready, but you can't play or help the team. That creates frustration. My partner and my family give me balance and stability."

Jérôme Boateng on the Ballon d'Or: "It's a pity for Lewy because he definitely deserved it. That reminds me of 2013, when Franck didn't get the award. I'm very sorry for him. What else should Lewy do? Turn upside down and score a goal from the halfway line?" [@kerry_hau, @spox] Image
Boateng: "If the only thing that counts is to pick the best player in the world overall, then in terms of talent and quality it is of course either Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo. But if you go by titles and stats, I think you have to evaluate things differently"
Boateng: "It won't upset him, but it has certainly been a huge disappointment. However, the way I got to know Lewy, that will only motivate him. He will keep giving everything, I'm sure of that. His stats this season alone are incredible"

Julian Nagelsmann: "We were going to take Gabriel Vidovic with us to Dortmund, unfortunately he suffered an injury yesterday and will be out for a few weeks" Image
Nagelsmann on Goretzka's fitness: "Let's say the chances (he would play) are 60-40, it won't be decided until tomorrow. The game is too big to let someone who isn't at 100% play. Jamal did well in that position. We have to wait and see" Image
Nagelsmann: "Sabi is still out for a while. Josh Kimmich will return over the course of next week, I'm not sure exactly when. Choupo could get out of quarantine tonight if the test is negative. But he will not be available tomorrow. Josip Stanišić will be out for around 6 weeks" Image
