When citing/dealing with Carnegie do people not understand that Dmitri Trenin was a GRU colonel and runs a think tank for over a decade that is a mouthpiece of the Kremlin. Carnegie “may” have started out independent but that changed awhile ago.
The reason I saw may is because FSB infiltrated everything including Yeltsin’s team and democratic parties. There may have been an intention to have free thinking centers but that quickly changed as FSB gained strength towards the end of the 90s.
Putin himself was sent by FSB to infiltrate the Mayor Sobchak’s office in Leningrad who held the first democratic style election. And Putin was seen in a few photos lingering around Yeltsin in the background
Also there is nothing wrong with having a think tank connected to foreign ministry and pushing their message. But when citing people need to understand that’s where it is coming from

So Russian media awhile ago started publishing articles in their main outlet RIA on troll comments in foreign media outlets planted by them posing as those citizens
The newest case is this insanity! A proposal by trolls in a Chinese outlet to divide Lithuania bet Russia & Belarus ImageImageImage
This is the mentality the West is dealing with. Gaslighting and endless propaganda
This particular tactic started being used frequently in RIA in April when Russia was moving military equipment towards Ukraine’s borders and they have continued using it all year. Pathetic

Without fail every time Putin’s criminal regime escalates or commits atrocities they use the same playbook.

Propagandists in Russia start screaming of NATO surrounding Russia, impending attack, nuke war

Their Western apologists push reset, appeasement, impending nuke war crap
Significant increase of bot/troll activity
Spreading of disinformation and fake videos
Increasing personal attacks against anyone speaking out against Putin (my case they are getting nastier by the day and resort to calling me a Ukrainian nazi- I’m Russian too.. or CIA 😂🙄
It’s the same playbook whether it be invasion of Georgia, Ukraine, Syrian atrocities, Navalny and Skripal assassination attempts. Not to mention everything is Russophobia (it’s not) and Putin is the victim instead of the one trying to fulfill his Soviet ambitions

American intel warns allies that there is a short window of time to prevent Russia from taking military action in Ukraine.
This makes me so angry considering the signs were there the whole year for anyone paying attention 😩 nytimes.com/2021/11/19/us/…
This is the result of 2 decades of appeasement despite Putin blowing up buildings/ killing over 300 Russians, Chechnya, countless assassinations, election attacks, invasions, and crossing every damn illegal line there is while people sit on his payroll and lobby to prevent action
In July I was warning after watching what happened in the spring. I am angry because this is personal and grateful that this time people actually care

Again there are around 100k Russian troops on Ukraine’s borders as Western intelligence agencies warn of Russia further invading as soon as this winter. They also have other intel besides the military build up that are causing them to issue warnings ft.com/content/d4eada…
And my worry is this has been planned all year and the first phase was in the spring, propaganda and migrant phase in the summer, and now this. Ukrainian military though is in so much better shape than 2014 so that is reassuring
I also worry that it’s not only Poland, Ukraine but Putin is looking to destabilize Europe/challenge NATO. Whatever he is up to he has been planned for awhile and the escalation on the Belarus border is intentionally timed because it was started in the summer and intensified now

I don’t like to attack media but seeing @cnn reporting on the Belarus-Poland border is extremely disturbing. Yes there is a humanitarian crisis but they are not discussing how Putin and Lukashenko since the summer have been weaponizing migrants to attack Europe and now escalating
Kremlin via their proxy Lukashenko are flying dozens of planes in weekly from Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, etc and bussing the migrants to push them into Lithuania and Poland. All while profiting off this. @CNN is turning Putin’s hybrid war tactic into solely a humanitarian crisis
Putin simultaneously is setting several hot spots with Belarus border, moving large amounts of military towards Ukraine’s borders, Balkans, and blackmail of Europe via energy. Both Putin and Lukashenko need to be sanctioned to hell and tried for human rights crimes
