@aiarena_crypto is experimenting with NFTs of AIs proving that these can be rented or hired for services. In the guise of a toy example with a 2D Fighter style game, AI Arena threatens to disrupt the entire blockchain tech stack. Video:
@WeMetaTweets is unbundling OpenSea by doing what Zillow did to Craigslist. Better analytics because they are deeply focused on land, in a platform agnostic way. How else will you measure the difference between a plot in Decentraland or Axie? Video:
@etherplay Conquest.eth is fully on-chain and interacting with DeFi protocols like Aave and Uniswap. It is looking to make high-stakes play possible in a persistent world. @wighawag is deeply respected in the space with impeccable crypto taste. Video:
@ChibiClash is taking some of the most classic autobattler mechanics in web2 and making them play to earn. They began their raise by selling NFTs to the community, now they are poised to convert to player-speculators into player-earnooooors. Video:
@CafeCosmosHQ is a fully on-chain casual game like Farmville. Set in a cafe, players buy tables, chairs, ovens, recipes, metaphors for distinct DeFi primitives. I think everyone clued in when they said "stake cows for milk, stake milk for cheese". Video:
@Ethermorelore is something of a Loot competitor, but it enables non-developers to build up the lore. It's building blocks are character NFTs, a metadata layer on a scaling solution, a user interface to build no-code interactive story modules. Video:
@plasmapowered is building the web3 arena as it masters interoperability and brings a game like Super Smash Bros to a whole new level. Think about a protocol for arbitrary NFTs to compete to join the seasonal roster of playable characters. Video:
@Starbots_game founder Kien Vuong meticulously researched which genres of games were most poised to transition to web3. He found that a niche genre of auto-battlebots was growing in popularity and extremely well suited to NFT based gameplay. Video:
@aavegotchi is the OG GameFi title looking to seemlessly blend degen crypto mechanics with a fully onchain tamagotchi-like experience. The composability here is leading to decentralized building at unprecedented levels. Video:

1/13 On Fridays, @QwQiao and I would meet the 12 GameFi games we were accelerating to unblock and offer advice. These were great chats because the learning was almost always mutual, as we are blessed enough to have stellar teams. Here are the best nuggets of wisdom discussed.

Incentivize both the excellent players and the player-builders with governance tokens. The alignment of these users are going to be the key towards beating out web2 incumbents.
3/ Paper prototype your features if you aren't reskinning an existing game. It takes way more time build and playtest crypto software than it is to do Wizard of Oz alpha-testing (where someone behind a curtain makes everything happen, rather than the code).
