1/ Dear Colleagues, Honourable MPs, Parliament staff, Norton constituency and friends. Just to let you know that despite taking all precautions and testing negative on both Monday at Norton Hospital and Tuesday at Parly, I have just tested positive for Covid-19.
2/ After hearing of the prevalence of Covid-19 amongst staff at Parliament yesterday, I decided to self isolate today. I also chose, as a precaution, not to risk attending a function to mark National disability day in Norton, also today, where the Minister of State was presiding
3/I contacted my doc for another test& the result was positive. I urge anyone who I’ve been in contact with, to self isolate& test too. It’s the responsible thing to do once you’ve been in contact with someone who’s tested Covid-19 positive, isolate as well as letting people know
4/ We must learn not to stigmatise Covid-19 as it’s not only about you if you test positive, but it’s also about being responsible and serving the next person. The country must really just invest in test kits for now
5/ This was exactly my point yesterday, I think I should be known as Prophet Mliswa forthwith. Forewarned is forearmed and disclosure is critical in mitigating the spread of the virus. It’s sad Togarepi couldn’t comprehend this point. For now my symptoms are mild, and I’ll rest

Despite Mugabe not wanting Chris Mutsvangwa I pushed that he get in. Mugabe never liked Chris because he is divisive. Mutsvangwa is good at that yet politically he has never achieved anything. Set in his new position now the path towards the Congress will be interesting.
Some people will certainly be removed. I have stated that Provincial Chairpersons are prime candidates for removal. It has happened before during my time. There is a lot of mudslinging with people accused of belonging to various factions.
During my time, when the factional wars began I went and cautioned Didymus Mutasa about it explaining how we were erroneously being aligned to Mai Mujuru and the dangers. However, they left it too late.
The Nemaisa case has got so many issues and questions but the reasons are simple. He is someone who has many enemies because he did well at his job as a police officer. Even when he left @PoliceZimbabwe it was because of a corrupt purge.
Institutions are no longer professional and have been personalised. If I were in the system I would bring back this guy, promote him and make him Officer Commanding of Homicide. He is educated, is a lawyer and let him teach others so that the country is protected.
He is our Rambo and we need champions in whatever we do. As I have said if you go to prison they will tell you that when he was on duty you did not mess around. Hamungavengere mumhu chipo chake nekugona basa.
1/ In light of recent developments where @nortontown has issued a local alert, and where 2 other NAA committees members have so far tested Covid-19 positive, the most responsible but regrettable thing for me to do, is to postpone our Norton Achievers Awards event
2/ We’ve provisionally set a new date, 28 Jan 2022, subject to a review of the prevailing situation then, with holding it virtually as a last resort. Ticket sales to the event are ongoing. My sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused. It would be hypocritical to continue
3/ Fundraising for the MP’s Xmas Cheer Fund also continues in earnest as we strive to put a smile on the faces of those less fortunate than ourselves. Please call 0771939522 to make your generous donations, thank you in anticipation. Stay safe, mask up, social distance & sanitise
I raised a point of order in Parliament yesterday over allegations that over 50% staff members are Covid-19 positive. However the issue was dealt with arrogantly. This is where you miss Hon Speaker Mudenda, he would have dealt with such a crisis differently& professionally.
@ZANUPF_Official through its Chief Whip Hon Togarepi bullied Parliament into a poor choice but SADC protocols are clear in such situations. Our lives are more important. The selection of Hon Togarepi as Chief Whip was a poor decision by @ZANUPF_Official.
Next time they should demand elections for the Chief Whip instead of an appointee. All that was needed was to seek for more information and make an informed decision. Yet Hon Speaker Khumalo listened and followed the ill-informed advise of Hon Togarepi.
Reflections on the Second Republic on its Anniversary.
If anything exemplifies the hypocrisy in @ZANUPF_Official its the fact that today ED is running the country with most of the people who were there in 2004 when he was blocked from being VP& 2017 when he was fired.
What is striking about this is that no one has said anything about those episodes. The truth has never been said. A few people were singled out such as as @ProfJNMoyo, @Hon_Kasukuwere, @DrGGandawa, @waltermzembi, the CIO etc. But only the army was clear in its support for ED.
In the run-up to November 2017 Mugabe had decided to remove all the service chiefs but they stood their ground. Chihuri was supposed to arrest Chiwenga who was in China but Sanyatwe and the Presidential Guard defended their Commander.
Well done this is a right decision. As I have said before most sporting associations need to be disbanded and we start to plan again. We need 20-25 year plans. Ngoma yarira, good decision. @online_zifa has nobody who knows sport.
Would you like to be represented in court by someone who has not studied law? Then why do you think we sports people are acceptive of that in our field. I have studied sports and have a degree and understand the need to have qualified people.
I'm glad that cricket is doing well. Even financially they have managed to close the gap. You can see their achievements. As for soccer, Even if @FIFAcom bans us, even better. Many nations have been banned before and managed to plan and came back better.
