1- @JoeConchaTV does a good job of making the obvious point - bad performance leads to negative adjectives, not vice versa.

The botched Afghanistan withdrawal, the terrible COVID policy, record high inflation & crime - they are what they are (cont).
2- This is a core flaw with Team Brandon. It never occurs to them that performance matters. Their view is everything is a product of narrative.

When you have the Media in your pocket, I guess you think they can spin up any story you want (cont).
3- Note Kamala has the same issue. If she actually cared about the southern border problem, people might improve their view of her.

But in her mind that is irrelevant. In her mind, her public image is simply a bad PR team, or a good PR team. So she blames her team.
4- This is what happens when you install a political operative like @WHCOS to run the country, instead of someone with actual talent.

And Uncle Joe is too weak, too old, & too dumb to recognize the flaws + make necessary changes. So here we are.

1- Ok this is dumb.

"Blue America, by contrast, has taken Covid seriously. Fewer than 10 percent of Democratic voters have not received a vaccine shot. Political liberals also tend to be comfortable wearing masks to reduce the spread of the Covid virus."

nytimes.com/2021/12/10/bri…
2- There is a difference between taking COVID seriously & vaccine skepticism.

@DLeonhardt and his ilk can't even see this, much less acknowledge it; even as the call for more & more boosters borders on comical.
3- Mask skepticism is another case of following data that shows no value in stopping transmission.

If anyone believes differetly, refute the hundreds of graphs @ianmSC publishes every month showing transmission unfazed time & again by mask mandates. I'll wait.

Short thread.

1- For better or worse, & not putting political spin on this one way or the other:

𝗜𝗳 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗺𝗽 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗲'𝗱 𝗯𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗗 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗗 𝘃𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀.
2- We'd be managing it better because Scott Atlas would be leading the response + Fauci would be fired, but nothing was going to make these vaccines stop transmission.

Overall, with COVID we'd probably be fairly close to where we are now, because virus is gonna virus.
3- We wouldn't have the dumb vaccine mandates, but the Left / Media would be screaming that POTUS isn't doing enough & it would be hard to counter politically with "virus is gonna virus".

1- “An eighth Islanders player entered COVID protocol Saturday morning, prompting the NHL's decision.”

The Islanders are all-vax’d (cont).

cbssports.com/nhl/news/islan…
2- “The Islanders are riding an eight-game losing streak, have been outscored 32-7 over that stretch and are last in the Metropolitan Division at 5-10-2.”

So basically COVID whacked their entire season.
3- “New York began the season with 13 straight road games..”

Welp, there was a recipe for COVID if there ever is one.

Too bad we never developed a vaccine.

This sad puff piece from @WSJ warrants more commentary (cont).
2- “complicated by”

COVID torpedoes live performers, again (cont).

2- “Portland Stage Company is canceling its in-person production of “A Christmas Carol,” the theater’s biggest money-maker of the year, because of breakthrough cases of COVID-19 among people associated with the show.”

Breakthrough cases of course.

“Pandemic of the unvaccinated”
3- “Maine’s rising rate of virus transmission and a record number of COVID-related hospitalizations factored into the decision to cancel, Stewart said.”

Ron DeSantis must explain this.
