Only in America do public school teachers race one another to scrounge around on the floor to collect $1 bills in order to... *checks notes* fund their classrooms.

This isn't heartwarming. It's dysfunctional, dystopian shit.

NEW: The U.S. should not rule out attacking Russia with ground troops or a nuclear weapons strike, U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker said today.

He is the second-highest ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee.

NEW: Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves confirmed that his state will swiftly move to ban nearly all abortions starting from the moment of conception if Roe v. Wade is overturned.

Anyone providing an illegal abortion would face up to 10 years in prison.

NEW: During oral arguments on abortion, Supreme Court Justices Kavanaugh and Alito implied that overturning Roe v. Wade could be like overturning Plessy v. Ferguson, the 1896 ruling that said segregation laws did not violate the constitution.

Justice Kavanaugh suggested the Supreme Court could overturn Roe v. Wade the same way it overturned Plessy and racial segregation in 1954.

He also compared the possibility of overturning Roe v. Wade to overturning sodomy laws and same-sex marriage bans.
