1. Hi everyone. The wonderful woman who is Jo Rigby is leaving Twitter for a bit. She sent me a note which she asked me to share with you. I’ve spoken to her on the phone and she’s doing okay-ish. But it’s still with a heavy heart that I post this, because no-one should feel
2. they need to leave Twitter to protect themselves. I’m sure you all feel as grateful as I do that she’s such a shining light in active travel campaigning. And I hope she’ll be back soon with more of her brilliant mint-coloured, bobbin-filled fun. She says if any Jo-lovers..
3. would like to message, she’s on her council address. Any haters, please find a new hobby. (Maybe pick up a guitar? Just a thought from me!) Love to everyone.. #BigUpJoRigby
Hi all, there’s such an amazing amount of support in these messages, also such anguish that it’s once again come to this. I think it’s really important Jo hears all this, so I’m going to try and meet her and read them all to her. I hope she’s not busy as it will take a while 😉
Hi all, is there anyone clever technically on here who could work out how to put this thread in a document for me, that I could then print out and send to Jo? She has completely deactivated her account but I really want her to see all these messages. They’d be good for her to…
Keep in case she ever needs to hear how much support she has on here. I’m hoping she might come back in January even if it’s only to tweet about make-up or something. Not sure if she will. I’m thinking a few Twitter columns could be on one page even.
Keep the messages coming guys, I’ll get them printed out somehow 🤓🤓🤓🤓
1. Guys! Mega exciting news! A new @LloydsBank advert was filmed near Alexandra Palace yesterday. With the real Lloyds horse!!! This incredible footage was taken by brilliant local photographer Marina @aKwamarina ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The as people created mist and everything!
2. Apparently they are continuing the ‘by your side’ motif, but they wanted to be closer to communities and residential areas rather than just forests….
3. They cordoned off the area just by ally pally train station….
1. Londoners, Kings Cross is absolutely STUNNING at the moment! So much of it is pedestrianised so it’s a mega exploring adventure… There’s beautiful lit up trees, a light sculpture that changes colour, and a canal path to explore… it’s absolutely magical and hours of fun…
2. Plus- people now live in 2 of the huge gas cylinders!
3. I was taking a photo for my friend of where we should meet, and only realised afterwards, I’d taken a photo of so many gorgeous festive bollards @WorldBollard! Bollards bollards bollards!
People who troll me: If I ask for a limerick in a post, and you want to join in, atleast write a clever one. Using the word ‘car’ twice to rhyme with my name ‘carla’ is just abominable poetry. Embarrassing. Also you’re a whole week behind the other trollers with this story.
2. For those interested in the actual story- my brother was arriving from America and the rules had just changed and he had to isolate on arrival- it was very hard to find out if he was allowed to get on the tube. We eventually found out he could, and I wrote this in the post.
3. Obviously that bit was ignored in the tweets that started appearing over the following days, with lots of chat about how I’m a hypocrite who ‘drives people mad’ which they all found hilarious. Hehehe 🙄🙄🙄 (Written by a prospective councillor in fact).
If any of you North Londoners need a cake- maker, Torti Annie created this show-stopper. The negatives and video camera were entirely edible! She has a million designs and they’re all amazing. I’ll add her Instagram profile below… it was ideal for my brother, a cameraman
Lots of fun to be had with the edible props too… although obviously no-one will eat the camera now it’s had grubby mitts all over it!
Of all the Christmas Party memes, this is the absolute Don. 🏆🏆🏆 ‘BarrysBanterBus’ has taken an original clip from ‘The Office’ and it’s perfect. 🥇Sound ON. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The man in the suit who follows David Brent in, looking rushed like he’s got an important meeting to go to, when he’s actually just going to a party. The absolutely perfect embodiment of a Tory MP 😆😆
Or is the grey-looking, suited, Tory MP rushing because he knows how much work he’ll need to do to save the PM’s reputation? He’s going to be so busy working out what chat shows to ‘Empty Chair’. I imagine his diary will look like this:
(1/4) FINAL weekend post from me on Bounds Green people and their views on the possible #LTN. I’m very excited as I managed to track down the elderly man with the trolley from Friday night!! He’s called Brian Moore and he’s 86. He’s lived in Bounds Green for… 82 years…!
(2/4) He went to Bounds Green Infant School when he was 5- in 1939, just when WW2 started. He can remember hearing doodlebugs overhead. He had a shop on Myddleton Road called ‘George D Moore’ that sold men’s clothes, that he took it over from his dad. He loves it round here.
(3/4) I showed people this photo, and my neighbour Shaun who grows amazing Hollyhocks, recognised the woman. He told me to find Helen who lives in the ‘white house’ on the next road. I knocked on all the white houses and eventually found Helen, and she rang Brian.
