Okay anon - have you followed @CFrogE1 and @noahseidman and become @CurveFinance -pilled but want to avoid ETH gas fees? In this #FrenchChart we'll break down the best way to earn yield on $CRV outside of ETH L1!
Step One: Take your $CRV and go to @QiDaoProtocol on Polygon.
Step Two: Hit 'Create Vault'
Step Three: Select the $CRV option.
Step Four: Deposit your $CRV in the vault.
Step Five: Borrow $MAI - the @QiDaoProtocol stablecoin. @QiDaoProtocol will pay you yield in their token $QI on the amount borrowed. In the last month this has ranged from 40-80% for me.
Step Six: Take your $MAI to @QuickswapDEX and swap for $ETH $BTC or $USDC.
Step Seven: Go to @CurveFinance and deposit into the atricrypto3 pool. We will earn 20%+ APR on this. (alternately you can also utilize a stablecoin-only pool on Curve instead of atricrypto3)
So far, to recap, we have deposited 100% of our $CRV, and benefit from 100% of price appreciation in the token.
At the same time, the amount we've borrowed against it in $MAI - say, 40%, is now earning 40%-80% in $QI rewards, AND earning 20%+ in the atricrypto3 pool on Curve.
Additional steps:
-Take your $QI rewards and lock them in the @QiDaoProtocol protocol for 110% APR and governance rights. OR... sell them for more $CRV to add to vault.
-Take yield from atricrypto3 pool and use to add more $CRV to vault, borrowing more $MAI in turn :)
You can hypothetically be liquidated if the price of $CRV goes down substantially, so if you are worried about this, consider using your borrowed $MAI in the @beefyfinance USDC-MAI vault from @QuickswapDEX for 20-25% APR instead, so you have $MAI handy at all times.
Recap: This is my favorite $CRV strategy outside of ETH L1.
