🧵1/6 IF THE SCHOOLS CLOSE it's also on the parents & teachers that didn't SPEAK UP!! Those that left it to us FEW to ask for REAL mitigations. Those that didn't stand up for their vulnerable colleagues & show support-that couldn't be arsed wearing a mask to help them or the kids

2)those that didn't even master keeping windows open, those that pushed for concerts/singing & shows or didn't use their voices to challenge it & turned a blind eye when we told you this would happen
MITIGATIONS would've prevented RESTRICTIONS & CLOSURES
So if it does ITS ON YOU

3)For those that DID (parents & staff) have the courage to speak to Headteachers, (or indeed if you were one who spoke out) who raised concerns to DfE, SLT & MPs who emailed, tweeted & challenged thankyou! Those who tried hard in their schools to go beyond guidance & invested in

4) HEPAs or accepted them from us Thankyou. But especially to our children who wore masks in class when NO ONE else did, when they were brave in the face of their peers & understood the science YOU'RE LEGENDS!! I'm just sorry we weren't able to make school safe for you in 2021

5) Yes this is a failure first & foremost of government it's FIRMLY on them BUT make no mistake it's also on the silent ones who never spoke out to help. Why would they change it if they can get away with not hearing us?

6) Oh & by the way if you're pulling your kids out early Or have done already TELL THE SCHOOL THE TRUTH don't cop out with "they're poorly" 1 family can be ignored saying 'schools not safe' 10 not so much, we can't all be fined, they can't ignore US ALL. Help make change please.
