Hello all🥰. I’m doing my best and worst of 2021 thread now! Not every category is going to have a best and worst just an fyi. Also this thread is purely my opinion 🤷🏽‍♀️

Best episode: Alexis 25th anniversary episode. Alexis spends her last day of freedom surrounded by loved ones. She visits Kevin’s, and he gets her to examine her traumatic childhood and Alexis finally comes to terms with who she is. Great writing and a master class by NLG👏🏽

Worst episode: Sonny’s return. A big reason why I couldn’t see tptb doing Jarly is b/c I couldn’t see them damaging the trio. I was right unfortunately. Sonny walks in on his wife and best friend in his bedroom and not a single scotch glass is thrown. What a massive letdown

Best Storyline: Crete round 1. Anna, Valentin, Robert, Sam, and Dante search for Drew and hunt Peter. #Vanna grows closer, Sam gets back to being a PI, Victor is alive and well, Robert returns to our screens, and we got this classic #RnA moment. Loved it!

Worst Storyline: The Louise secret. This secret is complicated for no reason. Valentin would keep Louise safe because he feels responsible for Peter, Anna too. Add in Chase lying to his loved ones after back to back storylines where he was lied it’s just dumb. Plain dumb.

Best re-write: Peter isn’t Anna’s son. A re-write of a re-write for best re-write? Yup! I know Peter is still torturing Anna (us too 😒) but our one saving grace is he’s not her son anymore. The greatest silver lining ever if you ask me #GH

Worst re-write: who shot Hayden? Pt 2. We sat through this storyline 5yrs ago. We knew Nikolas had her shot, framed Shawn, half the town, Hayden too knew the truth. This rewrite was done to absolve everyone who knew the truth. Made worse by having Shawn try to get her justice

Best recast:Nicholas Chavez as Spencer. I wanted a recast, older Spencer for years. But even I couldn’t have foreseen how great NC would be as Spencer. He’s made Spencer his own. He’s proven he can hang with the heavy weights and his chemistry with Sydney is stellar. He’s a⭐️

Worst Villain: Peter August. A real shock right? I don’t think I need to go into much detail here. I’ll keep this as nice as I can. Peter is a total failure as a character and the worst villain this show has ever had. I continue to pray on his demise.

Best Villian: Victor Cassadine. Now we haven’t seen much of the formerly dead Mr. Cassadine but it seems he’s been the man behind the curtain, pulling strings and wreaking havoc. I have a good feeling he’ll be defending his title come my best of 2022 list.

Best family: The Cassadine’s. Spencer and Victor’s return along with Valentin no longer just a Cassadine in name anymore has me excited to see what’s in store for our royal family. I love the family dysfunction.

Worst death: Little Liam. Though not technically dead yet we all know it’s coming. I know they had to work around Sofia’s real life pregnancy but I think most of us are agreeing this is a cruel storyline that wasn’t necessary.

Best death: Peter. I know I know. “But he’s alive now?!” Yes but for a short time, he did die (or was thought to be head idk anymore) and it was glorious. Also I mostly wanted to post this gif again 😏

Best breakup: Paxie. This is another one that’s pretty self explanatory.

Worst breakup: Fanna. I wasn’t a Fanna fan (clearly) and even I struggled with the reasoning for breaking them up. They spent years having Finn try and show Anna he could handle her life and secrets only to break them up for those exact reasons.

Worst pairing: Millow. There’s not a single thing I like about them apart and together? They’re so much worse. The show is clearly trying to stop us all from calling them boring by giving them an edge. So instead of just being boring they’re insufferable hypocrites

Best pairing: Sprina-Vanna. I couldn’t choose and honestly? Why should I? It’s clear that these two pairings are by far the best even though they’re not officially together. It doesn’t matter what your age is, young and old are loving them. #Vanna and #sprina are carrying #GH

And that concludes my best and worst list of 2021! I had a few more categories but this list was way longer than I intended already 😂. Plus I gotta go be a good girlfriend because I made my bf wait to go get food while I finished this. Hope you all enjoyed it!
