So, quick question @jkenney

If we have 80,000 cancelled medical procedures now, how many will AB have at the end of the 5th wave you’ll be enabling with your new “open up regardless of Omicron” policy?

160,000?
How many of those people whose access to healthcare is blocked by mainly the unvaccinated will die because hospital based healthcare will be functionally eliminated? So you can have mom and Dave over at the same time?
When will people dying impact your decision making? Or is it a moot question to ask?

Do you have a conscience? Do you know what morals and ethics are?

Are you capable of feeling guilt and shame?

Some people who will die are your base voters. Do they know you don’t care?
Will you ever permit AB to escape covid or are you planning to continue to use covid as a bio weapon to keep control of political power?

Citizens are wondering if it’s worth the risk to go on general strike. We’ve lost too many innocents to covid and your cavalier policies.
We will not stand for another slaughter of innocents to feed your sadism and power aspirations.

Do the job or vacate the premises. And take all the useless back bencher Dominionists with you.

May you pay for your hubris in flesh. Nothing would make me more joyous.

I would agree if people were making informed decisions.

But they are not.

They have been radicalized and brought under control of a cult.

They no longer think for themselves. They do and say as they are told.
That doesn’t absolve them of criminal behaviour.

But con supporters and a large contingent of NDP supporters are no longer in complete control of their decision making.

Separate them from the source of their radicalization, deprogram them, and they’ll be normal people again.
Hating them for their defiance and antisocial behaviour is exactly what cons want. To keep us divided and maximize the polarization.

I wouldn’t recommend giving conservatives what they want. That’s a form of mind control on you.

This has got to be wrong?!?

81,000 on surgical wait lists?!?

For how long of a period have people been put on waiting lists? 2 years?

I guess that’s one way to interfere with reproductive rights; cancel ALL surgeries!
How many of those 81,000 are going to die waiting? Any estimates? Cancer patients, heart patients, lung patients? Transplant patients?

No wonder we have a shortage of ambulances. All these patients are moving into acute medical crisis situations.
When will Albertans have had enough of the inadequate medical services available for the 4.7 Million residents? What’s the point of going to the doctor to find out what’s wrong if you can’t access treatment to address the problem?

And people want to wait until 2023 to vote?

So…

As I predicted, UCP have changed the law so corporations and the wealthy can influence and buy the next election.

I said we couldn’t wait until the next election because the UCP would fix the results.
I hope people recognize the truth since it’s biting them in the ass now.

How many anti democratic bills need to be passed before the public realizes we no longer live in a true democracy.

This is called guided democracy.
So if Koch industries purchases 10,000 memberships in each riding, do you think they’ll mind if the people they are bought for vote against Koch interests when choosing a candidate? Especially if a little incentive is also provided.

I must admit, I’m perplexed and disappointed in this summit. Many are gathering over the next few days to discuss democracy.

To what end? What purpose does this serve? How is this summit going to change anything regarding the attack on democracy?

state.gov/schedule-the-s…
The answer is simple. It won’t.

So why bother to gather people from across the globe representing NGOs, several foreign relations departments and some international leaders to opine on democracy?

What ultimate purpose does this serve?
Sharing ideas about democratic best practices is great. But sharing best practices of Google and Microsoft is supposed to accomplish what?

Isn’t the attack on democracy using network connections the largest problem?

Yes, this is true. All media is controlled by the far right and they control the narrative.

But there are resistors and journalists who are employed or independent, who tell us the real story in articles that we must assemble to get a cogent narrative.
We do need to stop quibbling.

We do need to start acting in unison.

Read as much as you can from multiple sources and know the author and who you can trust.

Media needs to be redone. It’s current form is unviable to democracy. But we are in no position to do that, yet.
The goal is to establish that position and eliminate the fifth columns planted in our democratic institutions in order to destroy them from the inside.

A clean sweep and start again.

After each is fully vetted for commitment to democratic norms and principles.

New Caledonia referendum a harbinger of violence? Decolonization and self determination during a time of global crisis and chaos brought on by climate change, a global pandemic and global economic insecurity and transition.

Sounds familiar.
While this analysis is from the perspective of France’s regional interests, I don’t see any evidence of acknowledgement of adversaries and possible annexation. The splintering of nations during a time of great crisis occurred before WW2.
Review maps of Europe, Middle East & Asia in 1918-1923.

During the global Spanish Flu pandemic that killed estimated 100 million people, several European, Middle East and Asian ethnic groups asserted independence. But hegemony shaped national boundaries through treaties. ImageImageImageImage
