I think a lot of feminists have failed to consider the harms of animated pornography on society. It's a real blind spot. It's almost as though because there are no "real" people being trafficked, it gets a pass. 1/9

Anything that's illegal or impossible to do in recorded pornography can be done in animated pornography. Bestiality, child sexual abuse, body transformation, extreme torture, even snuff can all be depicted through animation. 2/9

Japan, for example, is a nexus of illustrated child sexual abuse materials, a producer of childlike sex abuse dolls — and the technical legal age of consent is 13. This year a Japanese politician said he believed he could have consenting intercourse with a 14 year-old girl. 3/9

It's about to get much, much worse now with VR pornography, and while not all will be CGI a lot of it will be, for the same reasons. We're going to have to start making arguments that expand beyond the impact on bodies, because they are removing bodies from the equation. 4/9

I've already heard of child sexual abuse materials made through CGI that look incredibly realistic. The same arguments are being used - that there are no children involved, and therefore, it's harmless.
We're going to have to say 'no' to male sexual entitlement, and name it. 5/9

Every other form of media we consume is subjected to scrutiny for its portrayals of racism, misogyny, child sexualization, and yet porn, especially fabricated porn, gets an astonishing amount of freedom because it is driven by male entitlement. 6/9

We're going to be faced with men posing as women in virtual porn and sending messages about how women act based on their own misogyny. So we'd better get started now and begin making arguments against the likeness of women - and children - being turned into a commodity. 7/9

Women's likeness is being reduced to a product, too, in sex dolls, and photos of women and girls are already being stolen as models for these objects. There are also deepfakes, where a single photo of a woman can be made into pornography. 8/9

We have to go beyond arguments about single-sex spaces and sports because the appropriation of the female sex isn't limited to women's spaces.

What is happening is a massive form of identity fraud, it's a metaphysical colonization of women's existence.
