He was the founding director the @NIDDKgov funded Liver Center at @Yale and the former director f the @NIEHS Center for Membrane Toxicity Studies at the Mt Desert Island Biological Laboratory, where heals served as the chairman of the board of trustees.
He is also a past chair of the Board of Directors of the @liverUSA and a current member the Board of Members of @haverfordedu.
@liverUSA@haverfordedu Dr. Boyer is broadly interested in basic and clinical hepatology, and his laboratory's focus has been the study of the mechanisms of bile formation and cholestasis, which was funded by MERIT awards from @NIDDKgov.
Dr. Boyer is the recipient of distinguished achievement awards from AGA, @AASLDFoundation, & @liverUSA. He is a member of the @HopkinsMedicine Society of Scholars and the 2020 recipient of the European Association for the Study of Liver Disease's International Recognition Award.
