He then completed residency and fellowship training at @nyulangone @YaleMed.
He was the founding director the @NIDDKgov funded Liver Center at @Yale and the former director f the @NIEHS Center for Membrane Toxicity Studies at the Mt Desert Island Biological Laboratory, where heals served as the chairman of the board of trustees.
He is also a past chair of the Board of Directors of the @liverUSA and a current member the Board of Members of @haverfordedu.
@liverUSA @haverfordedu Dr. Boyer is broadly interested in basic and clinical hepatology, and his laboratory's focus has been the study of the mechanisms of bile formation and cholestasis, which was funded by MERIT awards from @NIDDKgov.
He is a member of @AASLDFoundation/@AASLDtweets, @the_asci, the AAP, the APS, and the ACCA and is a past president of both the @AASLDFoundation and the International Association for the Study of Liver Disease.
Dr. Boyer is the recipient of distinguished achievement awards from AGA, @AASLDFoundation, & @liverUSA. He is a member of the @HopkinsMedicine Society of Scholars and the 2020 recipient of the European Association for the Study of Liver Disease's International Recognition Award.

Dr. Zimring completed his undergraduate studies at @EmoryUniversity in @emorycollege, where he first fell in love with science via @EmoryChem. He continued on to @EmoryMedicine, before eventually joining up with the @EmoryMSTP.
