Dr. Zimring completed his undergraduate studies at @EmoryUniversity in @emorycollege, where he first fell in love with science via @EmoryChem. He continued on to @EmoryMedicine, before eventually joining up with the @EmoryMSTP.
@EmoryUniversity @emorycollege @EmoryChem @EmoryMedicine @EmoryMSTP Upon graduation, Dr. Zimring completed his graduate medical education in clinical pathology with @EmoryPathology, and later joined the faculty @EmoryUniversity & @LaneyEDGE, where he started his lab and eventually served as the immunology PhD program director.
Dr. Zimring then took his talents to @UW and @BloodworksNW, before moving back east to @UVA, where he is currently the Thomas W. Tillack Professor of Experimental Pathology at @UVA_Pathology.
Dr. Zimring's laboratory studies alloimmunity in transfusion and transplantation and oxidant stress biology. You can read more about his research, and find a list of his publications, here: med.virginia.edu/pathology/cont…
Dr. Zimring is also the author of the book "What Science is and How it Really Works," which he penned after many years of lecturing on the philosophical underpinnings of scientific approaches to basic biomedical research to students and faculty alike.

jameszimring.com), which he discusses on the podcast today!
