Jung Hae-in, in an interview for #Snowdrop
“I was born in 1988 so 1987 is a time I’ve not experienced directly. There are a lot of dramas based on that time but I think that the answers are all in the script.”
Buddy I too was born after 1987 but that “time” did not immediately end when 1987 became 1988 wtf are you smoking bestie 😭😭😭😭😭 this is like a Korean kid saying “I was born in 2003 so idk who King Sejong is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯”
“The answers are in the script” you’re a grown-ass man read a fucking history textbook
“I felt the props and makeup teams were amazing… we really lived like ppl from that time. I think the big difference between period pieces and modern dramas is props, set, artwork, and makeup. Like we have the exact orange juice bottles or the snacks from that era.”
THE HISTORICAL REVISIONISM IS FINE AS LONG AS WE HAVE THE RIGHT ORANGE JUICE
GOOD PRIORITIES GOOD PRIORITIES
Imagine an American Gen Z actor in a drama set with 9/11 as the main background and they give an interview saying “yeah I had to rely on the script for the history bc I was born after 9/11”
Imagine starring in a historical drama set in a deeply sensitive time and in your interview you’re gushing about *orange juice*
I cannot emphasize enough how this is not just a quote out of context. He was directly asked “what did he research about the era before the show” and he answered “I was born in 88 so I relied on the script.”
I-I think Snowdrop fans are using Olleh TV (internet TV) rankings, thinking they’re actual TV ratings…
(That’s an app from a phone service provider afaik)
Yeah I was thinking it was weird bc thus far no one’s been able to report officially on Snowdrop’s ratings in the Korean press, I believe Nielsen is doing a systems calibration or sth?
If you agree and reblog people saying “you look cool and badass” when you’re literally playing a torture agency thug, is that not you participating in a glorification of the torture agency?

It really cannot get more blatantly red scare propaganda than this - this dialogue between characters on tonight’s episode of #Snowdrop
Seeing Soo-ho (NK spy pretending to be college student
Yeongro: I think he got chased after he was protesting 😭😭 we have to hide him
Hyeryeong: are u crazy? They say he’s a spy!
Jungmin: He’s no spy! That’s just the lies the police tell us all the time.
Worth pointing out that “Jungmin” is the roommate that is the hardcore student activist (they gave her short hair and glasses because activism means you do not have time to get glam) - and Jungmin is the one who says “that’s just police propaganda”
