Blackpink fans come collect your trash
I’ll take care my history is represented right, why don’t you clean up your own house for once
I’m fine! Thank you ^^
I’m able to make friendships and watch media as long as those friends and those media works don’t distort history, like #Blackpink’s #Jisoo’s new drama #Snowdrop is doing!
Here’s a photo of my family’s dog.
It’s such a shame your fave #Jisoo did not read one (1) history textbook before agreeing to recreate an incredibly harmful authoritarian propaganda narrative that destroyed entire families in her new drama #Snowdrop but cheer up, I’m sure there are other things in your life.
Yes I know you’re probably the kind of weirdo kpop racist who says Koreans are mostly braindead or mentally ill except your fave
It’s ok just say you don’t give a shit about Koreans or Korea and go
“I’m not bothered by my history being distorted so why are you bothered, I mean was your parents & their friends getting imprisoned and tortured really that big of a deal?”
I learn what I can, and try to be sensitive where/when I can. I certainly don’t assume other ppl respond exactly as I do to everything. I also don’t go around throwing smug kpop vids in victim families’ faces.
What happened to you does matter. But you’re the one who said you’re “not bothered” when what happened is distorted. Now it sounds like that isn’t the case.
I mean, when it happened to my family and those events are being portrayed in a drama made in my country, yeah I think the relevant experience for evaluating the portrayal is Koreans’ experience.
I-I think Snowdrop fans are using Olleh TV (internet TV) rankings, thinking they’re actual TV ratings…
(That’s an app from a phone service provider afaik)
Yeah I was thinking it was weird bc thus far no one’s been able to report officially on Snowdrop’s ratings in the Korean press, I believe Nielsen is doing a systems calibration or sth?
If you agree and reblog people saying “you look cool and badass” when you’re literally playing a torture agency thug, is that not you participating in a glorification of the torture agency?
Last tweet of the night
It really cannot get more blatantly red scare propaganda than this - this dialogue between characters on tonight’s episode of #Snowdrop
Seeing Soo-ho (NK spy pretending to be college student
Yeongro: I think he got chased after he was protesting 😭😭 we have to hide him
Hyeryeong: are u crazy? They say he’s a spy!
Jungmin: He’s no spy! That’s just the lies the police tell us all the time.
Worth pointing out that “Jungmin” is the roommate that is the hardcore student activist (they gave her short hair and glasses because activism means you do not have time to get glam) - and Jungmin is the one who says “that’s just police propaganda”
