Sorry, this is really terrible, but I had to exorcise it from my grading-addled brain in order to continue working.
If I was a Senator from one of the poorest states in the nation, I just wouldn't buy a Maserati. But I'm weird like that I guess.
To be more specific, I'd feel less strange about owning a Maserati if I also was willing to vote for a bill that would make the lives of my constituents, the vast majority of whom make less in a year than that Maserati cost, a bit easier.
