So, this is our Christmas story:
Year 6 son collected at end of school day Thurs by grandad (my F-I-L) shivering.
Maybe it was open windows/door with no coat allowed?
LFT just in case… positive.
Isolating at Grandad’s. He slept in coat as fever so bad.
100% caught in school. 1/6

Husband spent 10 mins with son each way in car to&from football practise on Tues. Negative LFT for us both Thurs, Fri, Sat morning. DH had “a bit of a headache Friday evening. After -ive LFT Sat am, went for booster in N95 mask at lunch time Sat. Flu like symptoms&poor sleep.

Put down to reaction to jab like first two times. Positive LFT Sun before it even reached control line. Husband now isolating in spare room& we’re using separate bathrooms as I’m 15 weeks pregnant. Pregnant women often very ill from covid& it’s only 9 days since my booster.

If I need to be intubated on my stomach, baby may need to be aborted to facilitate that. I’ve been really careful, even drinking decaf tea as I miscarried in May. DH&I both WFH. We wear N95 masks when shopping for essentials only.
This is the first Xmas in our forever home. 4/6

We were supposed to host my parents for Xmas day while widowed FIL went to BIL.
Now likely Husband, Son, Father-in-Law and I will be alone for Xmas day.
My parents will be together but just two of them.
At least they have the turkey.
Worst case scenario: I catch it&lose baby

100% down to @Conservatives insistence schools are safe. Son’s school went beyond guidance&insisted that siblings of +ive cases stay off until negative PCR.
We need HEPA filters.
Open doors&windows esp in old buildings is not enough. #MakeSchoolsSafe

Thanks for all the likes, kind words, retweets & follows. Sorry if I missed anyone. I’ve cracked open the Christmas Shloer & had kitten snuggles. I’m praying I stay negative, along with FIL & everyone feels better soon. It’ll be Xmas dinner on a tray for hubby left at door. 😕
