When people have autonomy, they're less likely to be oppressed, abused or led astray by other people's agendas because they'll be able to actually focus on their own best interest. When people have what they need they are less focused on what others have or might take from them.
In reality, when folks can take care of themselves, they are more likely to progress and thrive. Then there's almost no reason for resentment of others.

Maybe it's Pollyannaish, but I'm willing to believe that when people have their own needs met and they have less reason to be suspicious or resentful of others, they actually have an opportunity to see commonalities they have with different people.
