Bonus point system (BPS) is a key part of FPL and it awards points for specific in-game actions which determine a player’s performance rank.

Players that excel at the Bonus points system attract more bonus points with a higher frequency.

He is ranked 1st among all players for Bonus Points (27) this season and ranks 2nd after Salah in the Bonus points system (BPS).

Clean sheets are one of the most important BPS metrics for any defender. All Defenders are awarded 12 BPS for every clean sheet that they keep.

Trent is ranked joint 2nd among all defenders this season having kept 9 clean sheets in 16 matches.
Recoveries:

Ball Recovery is an event in which a player gains possession after control of the ball has been lost by the opposition.

Each player is awarded 1 BPS for every 3 recoveries he makes. Trent is joint-1st for total ball recoveries (120) among all defenders this season.
Goal Contributions:

A defender gets 12 BPS for scoring a goal and 9 BPS for providing an assist.

Trent is ranked 1st for goal contributions among all defenders and 5th among players in all positions in the Premier League this season.

A big chance is created in a situation where a player is reasonably expected to score. 3 BPS is awarded to a player for creating a big chance.

This season, Trent ranks 1st with 10 big chances created among all defenders & 2nd among players in all positions.
Key Pass:

A key pass is a final pass leading to a goal attempt that does not result in a goal.

A key pass is awarded 1 BPS and Trent is ranked 1st among all players having had 51 key passes compared to 45 key passes from Bruno who is ranked 2nd.

A player who has a pass completion percentage between 70 – 70% is awarded 2 BPS, between 80 – 89% is awarded 4 BPS, and 90% + passes completion is awarded 6 BPS.
