A few months ago, I “called in” @SketchyLearning for their stereotypical and ahistorical depictions of Native Americans in their Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, and Microbiology Units. Today, I have some great news to share. @ANAMS1975 @IndianCountry
I am finally able to share that a few months ago I worked with @AndrewBergMD, the co-founder of Sketchy, and several others to secure more than $30,000 worth of Sketchy subscriptions for 75+ Native medical students from dozens of Tribes nationwide. @ANAMS1975.
Moving forward, @SketchyLearning Scholars will be providing up to $1 million in subscriptions to organizations like @ANAMS1975 and the @SNMA in support of student success and healthcare diversity.
The Association of Native American Medical Students appreciates this partnership and looks forward to continuing education on #healthequity and responsible portrayals of our communities in all future media.
