I am an orange male cat and Jean is a female tortoiseshell cat. Is there a cat scientist who can explain why it seems like most orange cats are male and almost all torties are female? 
(PS I should NOT have to say this on a question about cat genetics but absolutely no trans-excluding comments bc I just ate and you will make me sick)
