🧵 In 2021, The Stream achieved #GenderBalance for the fourth year in a row. We’re proud to meet this goal again after publicly pledging to never again finish a year without at least 50% women guests. Now, we issue a challenge to other media. If we can do it, so can you.
We're ready to talk to other news shows and journalists about how we've done this, our methodology, and the strategies that have worked. We strongly believe that journalism can only be truly effective when it is representative of the societies it covers.
Any journalists who would like to talk can reach out to us at stream@aljazeera.net. We'd love to help.
What do you think about our #GenderBalance initiative? Any ideas for us? Meeting our annual goal is ongoing. Let’s drive progress together.
