The Bhagavad-gita is universally renowned as the jewel of India's spiritual wisdom. Spoken by Lord Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead to His intimate disciple Arjuna, the Gita's seven hundred concise verses provide a definitive guide to the science of self realization.
No other philosophical or religious work reveals, in such a lucid and profound way, the nature of consciousness, the self, the universe and the Supreme.
Bhagavad-gita is also known as Gitopanisad. It is the essence of Vedic knowledge and one of the most important Upanisads in Vedic literature
The spirit of Bhagavad-gita is mentioned in Bhagavad-gita itself. It is just like this: if we want to take a particular medicine, then we have to follow the directions written on the label. We cannot take the medicine according to our own whim or the direction of a friend.
It must be taken according to the directions on the label or the directions given by a physician. Similarly, Bhagavad-gita should be taken or accepted as it is directed by the speaker himself. The speaker of Bhagavad-gita is Lord Sri Krsna. He is mentioned on every page
of Bhagavad-gita as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Bhagavan. Of course the word "bhagavan" sometimes refers to any powerful person or any powerful demigod, and certainly here Bhagavan designates Lord Sri Krsna as a great personality, but at the same time we should know that
Lord Sri Krsna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead, as is confirmed by all great acaryas (spiritual masters) like Sankaracarya, Ramanujacarya, Madhvacarya, Nimbarka Svami, Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu and many other authorities of Vedic knowledge in India.
The Lord Himself also establishes Himself as the Supreme Personality of Godhead in the Bhagavad-gita, and He is accepted as such in the Brahma-samhita and all the Puranas, especially the Srimad-Bhagavatam, known as the Bhagavata Purana (Krsnas tu bhagavan svayam).
Therefore we should take Bhagavad-gita as it is directed by the Personality of Godhead Himself.
Hare Krishna 🙏

Today as usual I woke up early , irrespective of the time I sleep, my wake up time stays constant , did my ablutions and stepped out of my house for a walk+chanting session , the time must be 4.30 ish , as I walked out a group of 6 senior citizens with kartals and mirudangas
Were singing soul touching divine margzhali month bhajans and circumbulating our area , this is going on for decades.
As I moved further down the road , chanting and feeling the divine cosmic vibrations of the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra ,came a jarring noise from a near by mosque
The Aazan from the nearby mosque was so jarring , no rhyme or rhythm, I thought I was going to a short painful experience, but my hopes of an early end to the ordeal was short lived, like domino's effect exactly with two minutes interval, the jarring noise started from one tower
Q 1 . if temples are freed from Govt control who will manage ?
A. Our temples were superbly managed for thousands of years before Govt Control, so there is no doubt they will be managed much much better by Hindus without Govt interference .
Q 2. But there are divisions
A. Divisions are there in every community , aren't there divisions in Islam and Christianity ? Just look at the divisions in Islam and Christianity
In fact there are more divisions in other religions than in Sanatana Dharma
Q. But other religions are united
A. Only in Sanatan Dharma a Devotee of Lord Shiva will go to a Vishnu temple and vice versa. but have you seen a Sunni Muslim go to a Shia place of worship or that of Ahmediyas place of worship ? In some cases standing behind apostates is
Let me narrate how a typical State Govt official functions in TN ( from my personal experience )
11 am reporting to office ( 1 hr late)
After arrival discuss with colleagues about reasons for late arrival for 15 minutes
20 minutes setting up his/ her table n sit amongst files
Visit suprintendents table or cabin n come back to desk
Upon arrival 3 to 4 people will be waiting to enquired about the status of their files , give each one a reason for delay, usually blame heavy work Lord. 30 minutes gone
Then tea time , 30 minutes gone
After tea time back to suprintendents desk, talk about some file , talk about GO etc , remember no work has happened since morning , but plenty of talk about files n work 😀
Then invariably a call comes about post lunch department meeting , another half an hour gone
1. Burning candles - millions of candle are burnt each day in churches and x tian houses across the world, this emit more poisonous green house gases than bursting crackers for Deepawali
3. Christmas means lighting using electric serial lights. Do you know 65% of electricity in India is generated by burning coal in thermal power plants. So more lighting you do for X mas more power you consume, so more green house games
