“Why is your whole feed about your cats right now”

Because it’s dead week and I need a few days of pretending my life isn’t horror 24/7, thanks.
My favorite part of that Tweet is how right after we found our water heater flooded so now we’re gonna be out of hot water until 2022.

So anyway about that pretending my life isn’t horror 24/7 thing
hahahahaha that also means we have no heat either
Here, have a thread about how Rep. Swalwell pulled a dick move and all the fun @‘s I’m sure I’ve got (but muted so sadly will miss) about it.
How could I say no?

Baby Satan and Qat, surveying their kingdom

ImageImage
Maintenance shows up, and Baby Satan — for real — wouldn’t let him in.

Old dude: “I’ve never been attacked by a cat before.”

I decided not to tell him
a) Baby Satan is not exactly a cat
b) Baby Satan is only 6 months old
I know it’s legal to own Baby Satan where I live, but I’m not so sure I want to test the apartment complex policy. 💅🏽😻 Image
Finally might I add

My cats are objectively more enjoyable than COVID, ISIS, and Nazis
There’s just something using the oven to heat the house that just takes me back to my youth #nostalgia

“Mass formation psychosis” is an updated, pseudo-scientific version of Gustave Le Bon’s mob hysteria.

Nazi Germany was not “literally hypnotized,” and that’s an absurd eradication of human agency.
My credentials are a PhD from one of the world’s top universities, and expertise in political violence reflected in a 30+ page CV that includes such things as multiple Fulbrights, United Nations and State Department publications, among others.

1. My PhD is from Emory University.

2. No, I never “worked for the government.” As I said, I wrote policy recommendations upon request (that weren’t followed, so that should — by your ‘logic’ — make me *more* credible).

3. Keep going.

Unpopular opinion, but Rep. Swalwell’s response here is real shitty, and it’s counterproductive in any “deradicalization” sense.

Had he censored Jeremy’s last name and photo, fine.

(And don’t @ me about threats to one’s life. I’m painfully familiar with exactly that.)
Just to head off the nonsense at the pass: yes, I do have every right to criticize @RepSwalwell on this.

I was the target of a murder conspiracy, someone involved apologized to me, and guess what?

They’re an enormous ally to all us anti-Nazis now.

I’ve come to know the person who apologized for the kill list I was on (the FBI made numerous arrests over it — not a random DM). I’d never out them.

Sincere apologies are an open door to do some good.

Swalwell did the opposite for Twitter clout and that’s… extremely crappy.

I’d also like to recognize Qat senior for being a sweet fat floof noodle domesticated Maine Coon animal Image
It’s very difficult to get photos of Qat Sr. and Baby Satan together because three months later it’s still basically this Image
Baby Satan is incapable of letting Qat Senior live

so I had to break out the nerf gun Image

Don’t dismiss Jesse Watters’ call to “ambush” Fauci with a “kill shot.” That’s incitement, not ‘just words.’

Want to know how I know? Another Fox host, Bill O’Reilly, did the same thing to a relative of mine.

And George Tiller was assassinated during at church.
Fox’s Jesse Waters is following in the footsteps of Bill O’Reilly, throwing gasoline on the fire — and the audience listens.

I wrote about George Tiller’s assassination here, and what it tells us about the mechanics of American terrorism:

hummusforthought.com/2018/12/23/fro…
1. I listened.

2. Incitement to violence can use metaphorical language; this argument is an old one and, in fact, one that often cynically wields the First Amendment as a shield.

3. Bill O’Reilly’s viewers argued the same - then one assassinated my uncle.

4. I have a Ph.D.
