1/ I meet a lot of people who are new to a job. There are two ways that people are in a new job:
1) Someone is promoting them from within their company.
2) Someone is hiring them from the outside
2/ ++First Problem++
Regardless of which situation you fall into, there's a common mistake that I see almost everyone makes when they start a new job. They act like they're still in their old job and end up sabotaging themselves.
3/ This is usually because they're so used to doing things one way (like going to work at a certain time every day) that they don't realize how different things are until it's too late.
4/ Being awesome at your job is a lot like constructing a finely-tuned sports car. It's not just about showing up and doing what you're told; it's about knowing the ins and outs of every moving part, from the engine block to the transmission.
5/ And beyond that, it's about being able to spot the signs of an impending breakdown, and having the know-how to fix it before things get really bad.
The thing is, that's not how most people are trained.
6/ Most of us are taught to watch our bosses' backs, do what we're told, and keep our heads down.
That's fine if you want to coast through life, but if you're trying to be awesome at your job -- which I hope you are -- that attitude isn't going to cut it.
7/ ++Second Problem++
I know what it’s like to be passionate about the work that you do. But there are also times when you are going to be dragged down and the only way for you to get back up is to learn how to push yourself.
8/ When you start your new job, you will want to take on a lot of responsibility. You won’t actually want to be a slave, but you will want to impress everyone around you. If a task needs to be done, then you need to be the person who does it
9/ That is an admirable trait, but it’s not one that will last very long in your new position. You aren’t going to get any special points for doing the work that no one else wants to do and you won’t get any brownie points for being at work when everyone else has gone home.
10/ If you act like this after your first couple of weeks at your new job, then there is a chance that it will turn into a pattern and no one is going to care about anything that you have done.
11/ It takes a long time to write these threads. Please retweet the very first tweet in the thread if you enjoyed it so others can see it.
In exchange for enough retweets, I will write the next thread on how to be the most productive employee at your office. #HappyNewYear2022

Before you go and make a decision to get an MBA, here is why you shouldn’t.

The MBA has become the most common “Master’s degree”
However, a comparable amount of students also find themselves with crippling debt, no applicable skills, and an overall education that lacks a specific focus.
Here is how I helped my friend get an 8 LPA job without an MBA👇
