We are pleased to share that MOC made a presentation on Promotion of Export Culture to the PM, with the objective to imbibe a supportive π΅π° national culture on exports at all levels of public and private sector.
This government has the Strategy which has defined the direction 1/3
and focus for our exports. For sustainable growth π in the exports, this Strategy has to be synced with a Culture that supports exports. Hence, there is an urgent need for export culture to be promoted as a National effort.Exports are vital to our economic 2/3
security and independence. Although our exports have started to πΌgrow after stagnating for a decade, we still have a long way to go π. By turning the promotion of Export Culture into a National movement, π΅π° Pakistan can achieve a quantum leap in exports. 3/3 @aliya_hamza
Early indications are that the growth in imports has started to decrease. π΅π° imports during Dec 2021 decreased π½ to USD 6.9 billion as compared to USD 7.9 billion in Nov 2021. This is a decrease of USD 1 billion. The import projection for Dec 2021 was USD 6.2 billion. 1/4
Turning to exports, MOC would like to share that during Dec 2021, π΅π° Pakistanβs exports increased by, πΌ 16.7% to USD 2.761 billion as compared to USD 2.366 in Dec 2020. The Export Target for the month was USD 2.8 billion. 2/4
During the first half of the current FY (Jul-Dec 2021), exports increased by 25% to USD 15.125 billion as compared to USD 12.110 billion during Jul-Dec 2020. The Export Target for first half of this FY was USD 15 billion. 3/4
