I didn't say that to attack her work because she's a woman or some nonsense like that. I said it becuase I know this stuff and I know postmodernism and Critical theory when I see it.
And now, to no one's surprise, she admits being influenced by marxism via Gramsci and Adorno
I'm not saying Kristin is using Postmodernism and Critical Theory because I want to maintain power, preserve privilege or undermine her becaise she's a woman.
I am saying @kkdumez is using Postmodernism, Critical Theory, and now Marxism because that is exactly what she is doing.
Once we see her admit her influences, these attempts by @kkdumez to either deny or downplay her postmoderism as if it was tangental to her work, rather than the lens through which she interprets history is something to behold.
Because if she deconstructs like a postmodernist, criticizes like a critical theorist, and reads others people's motives cynically like a postmodern critical theorist...she's probably using postmodernism and critical theory.
Downplaying those influences doesn't change that fact.

Any Christian who thinks they can use deconstruction and keep the Nicene Creed is badly mistaken.
Once you accept the logic of deconstruction and decolonization there is no confession of faith that will be left standing
Let's view a couple of examples to illustrate the point...
I'm re-doing this thread so I can be more clear about what I mean, @sure_mercies thinks he can defend the Nicene Creed by accusing the (white) man who attacked it of White Christianity.
However a Latinx non-binary trans theologian like Robyn Henderson-Espinoza (@irobyn) said...
her (their?) book "Activist theology."
In that book Henderson-Espinoza says all Christianity post-constantine can be seen as "empire religion." One cannot simply dismiss that view as "white Chirstianity. Someone could take @irobyn's observstion and make the following argument...
2/ To understand this we need to unpack a point about language and especially "categories." This is the hardest part of this thread, but once we have this point nailed down the rest is easy.
Wokeness thinks that all categories are "socially constructed." What that means is...
3/ We use categories to carve up the world and organize our understanding of reality. We use names, labes, descriptions, and other linguistic tools to break apart to world, to divide it and draw lines so we can understand it
This is hard, so here's an example:
Think of a forrest
2. If you don't want to discuss something, refuse to discuss it and let people think they want.
3. If you're at fault for something and it comes out, own it. Make no effort to save face. Take the hit.
4. Don't apologize for things you didn't do...
5. If someone is twisting your words or deeds to make them look like something they aren't there are only two options. The first is to say nothing. Any response you give is just another chance for them to twist your words and prolong the drama. Streisand effect.
The second is...
wait until the attack is finished and see if it worked. If it didn't then ignore it... people saw through it. If the attack works wait for the fallout to end, then provide irrefuteable proof that they twisted your words. Leave no doubt. If you can't do that, say nothing...
I have no patience for "sOcIaL eMoTiOnAl LeArNiNg IsN't CrItIcAl RaCe ThEoRy."
None.
Woke activists use SEL as the gateway for CRT and "Critical Pedagogy." So it's out. You'll have to use another way of teaching. This is non-negotiable.
No CRT in schools means absolutely no wokeness in schools.
None, nada, zero, zip, zilch.
When I said no wokeness that means none.
If @GlennYoungkin brings in SEL, which is another way activists bring wokeness into schools then virginians need to recall him
Jesus Family fled to Egypt to avoid Herod's order that baby boys be killed. Very likely they return to Nazareth (which is in Galilee, Herod was in Judea) after Herod's death in 4 AD. At this point Jesus would have been a 3-4 y/o...
3. "Grows up breaking religious laws"
Going to need a source here bud. There is no passage that says Jesus grew up breaking religious laws.
When he is grow Jesus cites David eating concecrated bread as a precedent to say "the law was made for man not man for the law"
For those of you keeping track of the rise in communism around the world...
Russia is currently wearing jerseys with the Russian acronym for "USSR" at the Channel One Cup in Moscow.
The USSR saw sports as a way of demonstrating the superiority of their communist system. It was never just a game for them. They always said that their communist system would produce superior results and sports was a way to prove that.
Hockey is also, for Russians a sort of...
Barometer for the health of the nation. Hockey is expensive (equipment and rinks are pricey) so succesful hockey teams are seen as proof of the health of the economic system, and the cultivation of talented youth is seen as a sign of the health of the people as a whole...
