With 2022 here, I look back at the stories that I did in the past year. Here's a thread with some of my works. Give them a read. I hope to continue working with the same vigour, continue to stand by the marginalized, oppressed, the ones who's voices need to be heard.

On 17th September, India recorded 2.5 crore vaccination in a single day under the aegis of Mahabhiyan to mark Modi's birthday.
But, reports suggested otherwise when ppl recieved fake vaccination certificates. My report for @thecaravanindia
Case study explaining how Modi promised full vaccination by year end but 2 months before 17th September, only 4% of India's population was vaccinated. While in Sept, the government claimed to have vaccinated more than 50%. My report for @VICEWorldNews
Jr. health minister told RS that no deaths were recorded due to lack of oxygen reported by States and UT. While the govt's claim came as a shock, the volunteers who saw the horrifying dance of death shared their experiences.
In winter session, MP from Arunachal Pradesh introduced a bill for period leaves considering the women who are a part of workforce. The bill wasn't passed. The topic always makes it to the list but is never paid any heed to.
I report for @TheLeaflet_in
Despite the new labour reforms from Courts covering gig workers and providing them social security benefits, the exploitation of food delivery executives, especially after pandemic, cont. Delivery workers left stranded.
I report for @TheLeaflet_in
Takeover of Afg by the Taliban left several Afghans in peace since 2011 desperate to leave the country. Though there has been global reaction of grief and sympathy, not much has been talked about fear of Afghan students in India.
I report @TheLeaflet_in
2300 Kms from Delhi, Tripura witnessed a series of violence directed at the state's minority community. Violence for 8 days which saw burning, damaging of mosques, shops and houses.
This be so close to my heart and all the tweets related to #Tripura .
For 9 days anti-Muslim violence-ravaged Tripura. But neither the govt nor ‘mainstream’ media wanted to treat it with the seriousness. Muslims in Tripura have been facing communal violence by mobs led by the affiliates of the bjp.
Independent journalists in India, this year – were prevented from covering protests such as at Jantar Mantar by farmers or by villagers of Khori Gaon whose houses were demolished in a Supreme Court @Sumedhapal4@nikita_jain15@PunYaab
Today I visited Chamtila mosque, Panisangar area. Initially when I tweeted about the vandalization of mosque, Tripura police denied the claim saying nothing has happened of that sort.
But my report from the ground says otherwise.Thread 🧵
As soon as I reached there, I saw the mosque was vandalized to an extent that the locals had to contribute to rebuilt/repair few parts.
I was personally shocked to see the condition of mosque & then to be reminded of the claims made by Tripura police.
Windows are broken, there's bricks, wires&glass pieces everywhere outside the doors of the mosque, fana inside the premises has been damaged totally that half of them aren't working, switch boards were damaged which has now been repaired by the locals and another window was set..
#Tripura 🚨
Supreme Court Advocates visited the state today to probe the violence that took place targetting Muslims, the team met the aggrieved parties & gathered facts. Team alleges that the incident happens to furtherance the political interest of BJP.
Probe reveals that the protests were held at 51 places in #Tripura over incidents of attacks on Hindu minorities in Bangladesh. Violence started over the demonstrations, properties were burnt and a huge panic situation was created targetting particularly Muslims.
🚨Nizamuddin, owner of this stationary shop owner alleges that "RSS, VHP & Bajrangdal had announced to hold a rally 3 days before, they vandalized a Mosque & burned my shop. Police being less in number failed to take control over the situation". #TripuraViolence.
Thread on #Tripura:
It's been more than 3 days that the people of #Tripura have become victims of violence caused by right wing goons.
There are visuals and information being circulated all over the internet but my concern is why only handful of people are talking about it?
Why there isn't much outrage on the violence against the minorities in our country? Is it because it's happening in the North East? Because I know we very conveniently forget that those people are part of our society.
Its been more than 3 days I am trying to given update..
on the issue. I have become a prey of the BJP IT cell now who are threatening and tagging the officials stating that I am spreading fake news and some are even applauding for what is happening with Muslims there.

Most of these workers have been associated with the University for more than 15-17 years. Workers were fired from their job without any notice.
