So while it's true that @ArvindKejriwal is an outsider (like me) it's unwise to completely accept or reject what he has said about #hospitals. When it comes to Central Government run hospitals like AIIMS,.....
1/4
......no Chief Minister of #Delhi or Delhi resident for that matter has the right to question outsiders using them.
When it comes to private wards in private hospitals, it would be silly to oppose outsiders coming here - they are a source of revenue.
2/4
Having said that, non emergency services in Delhi government run hospitals/clinics & EWS wards in private hospitals built on land allotted by the Delhi administration should be reserved exclusively for people who were born here, or whose parents were born here or.....

There is a saying in Bengali which means the house owner starts taking precautions once the robbery is over. For last three weeks @RahulGandhi became a poster boy of #Pakistan by his immature acts on #Kashmir issue. The realization now dawns that he must change track. 1/n
It is not known what prompted #RahulGandhi 2 try visiting #Kashmir last week, knowing fully well that the #Modi government got moral/legal sanction from the Supreme Court 2 take all preventive measures 2 stop blood spill and, that Gandhi would be returned like other leaders. 2/n
One may see the shadow of #Wayanad in #RahulGandhi's desperation but, to me his acts only helped the politically irrelevant #Left to stay in news. Left has a history of opposing Congress in States while joining hands hands in d Centre. #Congress's gains were short term. 3/n

Important day for #PChidambaram as well as CBI & ED in the #INXMediaCase: Kapil Sibal mentions before Justice R Banumathi that the new petition against CBI's remand hasn't been listed so far.
Justice Banumathi says that necessary orders could not be obtained from the #CJI over the weekend. Registry has been asked against to do the needful.
SG Tushar Mehta says he has no objections if #PChidambaram's legal team wants to argue against the custody order too.
A lot is at stake for #PChidambaram as well as for the #CBI and the #EnforcementDirectorate when the #SupremeCourt takes up the former union finance minister’s petitions today. Here's why and how:

Mast Qalander: read about it
In this ruins of the kotla lived a Mast Qalander. every day he would walk down to the tomb of Bhure shah in the vicinity of the Red fort and pray to the"saint with the fiery temper". A big-built man with a barel of chest and a shaggy beard,
his prayers were not the silent outpourings of a heart but the mutterings of one who had lost contact with his surroundings and lived in a world of his own. He would walk down to the shrine of Hare-Bhare and beat his 'chimta' (iron tongs) to announce his arrival.
The young were overawed by him and the old considered him to be someone from the past who had been visiting the jama Masjid area for long as one cared to remember. like Zanoni,he was likened to an order of mystics who thrive for centuries.

This workshop has been organised by #JadavpurUniversity (School of Women's Studies), #RabindraBharathiUniversity (Centre for Women's Studies) and #Parichiti, a women's organisation. All three are research partners on a #GCRF project funded by @GoldsmithsUoL.
Since Oct 2018, I have collaborated with Dr. Henrike Donner, who is leading it, to develop #researchcollaborations with #educational and #development organisations in India to implement a pilot study on #genderurbanhousing. This workshop marks the end of the first phase.

(पढ़े- delhi.gov.in/wps/wcm/connec… )

लेकिन आप द्वारा 7 Oct 2017 को जारी की गयी आधिकारिक जारी प्रेस रिलीज बताती है कि केवल 5695 ही कमरे बने. (पढ़े- aamaadmiparty.org/aap-govt-inaug…)

#Samosa ,a very popular dish in India was actually originated in middle East.
Abolfazl Beyhaqi (995-1077) an #Iranian historian mentioned it in his book" Tarikh-e Beyhaghi"
It was introduced to the #Indian subcontinent in the 13th or 14th century by traders from #CentralAsia.
#Samosa A dish with a savoury filling, such as spiced #potatoes, onions, peas, or lentils.
It may take different forms, including triangular, cone, or half-moon shapes, depending on the region.
The #Indian style, often accompanied by a chutney, is probably the most widely-known
The word #Samosa
(Hindi
समोसा /Urdu سموسہ )
can be traced to the #persian #sanbosag ( سنبوساگ)
The #pastry's name in other countries can also derive from this root, such as the crescent-shaped #Sanbusak or sanbusaj in the #Arab world. Or
"#Sambosa" in #Afghanistan

Though #Pakistan was created on religious line, #Jinnah was most liberal Muslim who never wanted #Pakistan a religious firm!
Till 1977 , Religion was just a personal choice in #Pakistan , General #Zia not only pushed religion but also took country decades backward !

Zia knew he had zero support from People hence he decided to take support from Mullahs and he ensured that hardcore Islam penetrate each institution in #Pakistan including #Army & #ISI !
#Soviet invaded #Afghanistan in 1979, #Zia used this opportunity to the fullest .
#US wanted to work on Proxy war, Zia got excellent platform to build these Proxies in Madrassa's of Pakistan.

The first Airstrike by US against "terrorists" in Afghanistan after 9/11 began on 7 Oct 2001. Nearly 2 decades later, US is now talking to "Taliban" for a "deal". This is how effective airstrikes are against "terrorists". 1/n
WRT India's airstrike on "terrorist camps" in Pakistan, how degrading would that be to the terror networks in reality? Very little. You can't destroy much that cannot be replaced quickly. Would that work as a deterrent? No. 2/n
India's airstrike against terrorist camps in Pakistan is more for optics and electoral posturing by Modi-Doval & company. Like the last "surgical Strike" could not prevent more terror attacks on India, neither would this. 3/n

These Moroccan coins feature the so-called Seal of Solomon, often depicted as a hexagram, similar to the Star of David. The coins are dated respectively 1271 A.H. (1855) and 1290 A.H. (1873/4), minted by king 'Abd al-Raḥmān and his successor, Muḥammad IV of #Morocco.
The Seal of Solomon is the signet ring attributed to the Abrahamic king/prophet Solomon. It is said that Solomon used this ring to control the spirits and animals. The design as a hexagram is often depicted on medieval #Islamic banners, coins, drinking-cups or in mosques.
According to the Catalan Atlas (1375), the two Anatolian beyliks of respectively Karaman and Candar featured a Seal of Solomon on their flags. The symbol was popular among the Turkish beyliks, and was later used by the #Ottomans in their mosque decorations.

After a week visiting #Delhi and #Mumbai in #India and talking to people in Universities, thinktanks, business and international trade about #Brexit, a short thread summarising what I heard. /1
The EU is seen primarily as a free trade bloc, and a successful one. Therefore, for the UK to leave in order to pursue 'free trade' is seen as somewhat baffling. /2
UK policy on migration is well-known and the referendum was seen, in part, as the UK turning its back on Europe - but also the world. The refusal to discuss high-skilled migration from India to the UK will prevent discussions on trade. 3

A thread about doctors based on my observations: #Delhi docs, esp. younger ones, do not touch patients. No clinical exam as is common in #Calcutta No open your mouth wide, turn your eyes to the light, examining your abdomen, listening to your breathing. They prefer test reports>
I have observed this over the past several months as my father has stayed in and out of hospitals, mostly in. Only the older doctors in the hospital, by that I mean those near 60, carry stethoscopes. Is it an outraged #Caclutta habit to examine patients clinically? >
Are doctors reluctant to touch patients now? Is medicine now pathlogy lab based? All machine readings, no human skill?
Yet, I notice all lab reports mention that the results must be clinically co-related. >
