A really significant obstacle that self funded students face, is how to pay tuition fees and still have enough to cover living expenses.
There are no easy answers to this obstacle. And the student risks losing his/her studentship if he is unable to make his tuition payments.
Today, I would share a few organisations who provide some sort of loan to fund these study abroad goals.
1. Prodigy Finance: Prodigy Finance provides academic loans that cover tuition fees and living expenses to study in Canada, the UK, and the US.
You can look through their website to see what programs and schools are supported. prodigyfinance.com
2. M-power: Similar to Prodigy Finance although their highest amount you can get from them is lower than what you can get from Prodigy Finance. Also, they only support schools in Canada and the US.
3. EdFin MFB: This is a Nigerian based Microfinance Bank, that has received/has access to funds from an American based education focused Venture Capital firm.
They also support only schools in Canada or the US.
4. Future Finance: This is a UK based company that gives tuition and living expenses loans to students who are already enrolled and resident in the UK. To apply, you need to already have a UK address and meet other requirements.
This option is great for people who have paid tuition deposit and are looking to cover the balance of their tuition fees without stress.
For people who are worried about paying tuition fees, just use any of these organisations. And if you want to study in the UK, pay a special attention to Future Finance and Lendwise.
