Fasting?

I want to make sure you do it safely. Because I care about you. 🤗

How to fast for 22 hours per day (without suffering.)

Quick thread. ⬇️
About 15 years ago I tried a religious fast:

Just water for 3 days.

(Which is nearly impossible when you're already unhealthy.)
12 hours in...

❌I had a headache.
❌I was irritated.
❌I felt weak and hungry.

And 20 hours in...
❌I couldn't think straight.
❌I couldn't sleep.
❌And I wanted to die.

Then I quit 24 hours in.

Now...
Most days I eat one meal per day - every 22 hours.

(The longest I've gone without eating is exactly 72 hours.)
✅No headaches.
✅Lots of energy.
✅I need less sleep than I used to.
✅My baseline mood is higher than ever.
✅No cravings.

Here's what I focus on:
#1 Avoiding dehydration

I eat one meal between 12pm and 2pm.

A few hours before and after the meal I drink electrolytes with lemon.

(I add MCT to the morning one.)
This helps to avoid dehydration symptoms like:

•Headaches
•Low energy
•Fainting spells

Know this...
Water alone isn't enough to keep you hydrated.

If you don't have a robust sugar free electrolyte powder - sprinkle sea salt in your water. 🤏
#2 Avoiding malnutrition

One meal per day - but I don't skimp on nutrients.

So...
I take a natural B-complex in the morning.

I take everything else with the meal:

•D3K2
•DHA
•Aminos, etc.

This keeps the mind and body working properly.
#3 Avoiding blood sugar crashes

Do you feel hungry 4 hours after eating a big meal?

That's a blood sugar crash.

What I do is...
I drink apple cider vinegar with stevia and seltzer.

This takes away the 'full' feeling.

It also helps avoid the crash.
I also eat saturated fat to stay satisfied until the morning.

(Avocado is underrated.)
This is waaay oversimplified because we all eat differently.

For instance - I don't drink coffee.

So I don't know how it would affect your results.

But...
If you decide to give it a go - you'll be fine if you focus on...

•Staying hydrated
•Getting your nutrients
•Managing your blood sugar.
And if you're overweight like I used to be - go slow.

Start from 2 meals per day within a 6-hour window.
