I was at Capitol Hill on January 6th.

Conservatives love spreading myths about that day.

But I was literally on the steps during the riot, so please take several seats and let me break down the popular myths.

A thread.

“There is footage of the police just INVITING everyone in.”
Capitol Police were outnumbered 100 to 1. The only way for them to stay alive was to move out the way. Thousands surrounded every entrance at once.

To this day I do not get how there was absolutely NO BACKUP for hours.

“It was only a few hundred Trump supporters inside the building. The people outside had no idea what was going on”. 

That is BS for the following reasons:

1. Every single entrance was being ripped open or broken to gain access. (I literally have footage of this).

2. People were entering the Capitol and coming back out to report on what was happening inside. I have footage of a man telling a cheering crowd that Pelosi’s office had been sacked and her laptop stolen
Please drop the “We had NOOOOO idea what took place inside” narrative.

“What about all the BLM riots?”

What about them?

There have been thousands of protestors prosecuted for breaking the law.
Stop pretending you don’t understand the difference between burning down Target and attacking our nation’s capitol during the election certification.

If you genuinely hate the concept of riots and property damage feel free to disapprove of both, otherwise this is all just code for “I support the January 6th riots because it was my team”.

PS. Ashli Babbitt is a domestic terrorist.
